This for me was the most memorable death for me, as it is what influenced my love for dragons: the best fantasy creature EVER! (In my opinion ;) ).

I agree!! Baddest Badass Baddie EVER!!! Best Fight! Best Villain death! Cmon first an evil sorceress and then changes into her DRAGON form?!

And how many villains ever put themselves right in the middle of the action too? She's got some guts!

That's why I picked Maleficent as my Halloween costume. (2010) - But adding that on a post in the Non-Pony Art section - HERE

I love how the standard Disney villain always marks his fate by falling into something.

A lot of them die through falls one way or another but certainly not all :3

LOVE Dr. Facilier's death. Dude gets dragged off to voodoo hell, basically. I just remember really finding it an interesting death when I first saw it, and it's only grown on me with repeated viewings.

Infinite brohoofs for you my friend. I am the exact same way. I've watched that scene consistently for a week off and on on my going abouts through the pony web, and I love it more and more. And I think I have nailed down the reasons why:

*INCOMING TEXT*

-It's not a fall. WOOHOO xD

-Unlike many past Disney deaths, you see every second of it, from numerous aspects. This isn't Scar getting mauled and eaten by hyena's off-screen due to fire getting in the way, this is you watching from beginning to end, the spirits and shadows coming out one by one, him pleading and making promises, him getting cornered by those shadows, him getting grabbed, the creepy dolls drumming, and him being dragged, screaming into voodoo hell. Then leaving an eerie tombstone.

-The whole concept felt really fresh to me. Voodoo spirits hasn't really been done yet by my knowledge in Disney movies, and if so, certainly not like this.

-Facilier is a very unique and epic villain, so all this combined with it being him is just. Cool.

-It felt very fitting. The whole movie, he had been pushing his luck with making more and more deals with these spirits, on top of whatever his original debt was. There was a moral behind his death, and it's to not make deals and take risks that are too high, because they may backfire on you and you'll lose everything. In this case, you're soul.

-Lastly, it was very ironic. Not only his 'Friends', but his theme song turned against him as well. Dramatic irony at it's best. And this goes along with the previous note of the 'things may backfire on you'.

*watches scene again <3*
