How did you find MLP Forums?: I looked for it.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I wanted to know what all the hubbub was about. Having finished Rick and Morty, and with nothing else to watch, I thought I'd give MLP a try.I like the slice-of-life mechanic of the series. The show isn't about fighting demons, aliens, or people with death notes. It's about the characters.I also like that for the most part, villains are redeemable or understandable at a certain point - though I would prefer it if the process took longer than an episode or two.What really sold me to the series and the community at large, is the great potential for fan work - and that due to the nature of the show itself, the writers are encouraged to write believable characters worth caring about. (If you don't care about the character, what will convince you to by the toys?)

I'm a furry artist, hoping to branch out a bit. Though I tend to create monstrous (perverted) things, I enjoy the change of pace by creating cute characters. I especially like the look of "evil cute".

 

Which brings me to my OC: Regent is a character I'm coming up with for a fan fiction. A lot of stories in the show are about bad guys turning good. Mine goes the other way. He's a short adult unicorn of as-of-yet defined color... probably blue. A cynical misanthrope, he's inspired in parts by Alloran from the Animorph's universe and King Sombra from MLP. Born without magic, he becomes a world-class engineer and inventor, but his inventions frequently cause problems for his neighbors and one of them goes to his head.

 

As for myself, I'm a cynical misanthrope, inspired in parts by computer graphics, art, and programming. I look forward to posting art and other content here as well as browsing and reading some of yours.
