Ooh, that's an interesting pick. May I ask why it's your favourite?

It was the first number I was given to wear in baseball. At first it started out as a joke because it's such an awful number (in pro baseball established players wear low numbers) but now I love it lol

One involves using feet to remove the ball from the possession of the other team and the other one involves using hands to remove the ball from the possession of the other team. One has small upright baskets as the designated area and the other one has large sideways baskets as the designated area. :P

I looked for a source but all I could find was that Einstein enjoyed reading Kant's Critique of Pure Reason by the age of 13. I've been meaning to read that book for a while now and this is just another reason to. :P

When I Googled the letter to see what it looked like, the phrase 'chi marks the spot' popped into my head, and now my imagination is running rampant with the idea of pirate statisticians who only give probability distributions for the location of their treasure. :umad:

Time equals sqrt(2*(distance)/(acceleration)) for uniform acceleration and no starting velocity, so t = sqrt(2*(9.1 metres)/(9.8 meters per second squared)) = 1.4 seconds plus 0.1 seconds to factor in the potential effects of air resistance and the incremental upwards component of the jump equals exactly 1.5 seconds therefore gudfrosty is the best at estimation. :mlp_proud:

"wood" has four letters. It appears twice in the sentence so we square that to get 16. "wouldchuck" and "couldchuck" only have a difference of 1 letter, so we subtract 1 from 16 and are left with 15. Since 42 is the answer to everything, we can add it to our equation and get 57. Finally, because the sentence is so poorly structured, we deduct 10 points from your score, and apply it to our equation to find the correct answer of 47 wood.

Ah, but what of the instances when distinctions between technicalities produce fruitful mathematical results for practical use? After all, the strict axiomatic founding of mathematics on well-defined primitive notions is often considered to fall within the realm of 'technicalities', but its modern exploration has yielded many mathematical tools and systems with vast practical applicability. Surely technicalities are practically useful to take note of in subjects where the applicability of certain areas of mathematics is too complex to be naturally intuited. :mustache:

Ooh, do you also understand the formal definition of a limit that is used in the formal definition of a derivative? The letters epsilon and delta come before the letter h in the structuring of calculus, after all.
