Pixel Art -- My OC character, Cloverjack

I spent 2-3 hours drawing a my OC from scratch, adding my pixel art style of a touch to it. I'm decently happy with how it turned out I'm finally starting to be able to draw ponies from scratch without a single reference to look at. (Except, of course, for weirdly shaped pony parts like Pinkie's hair or Rarity's tail)

 

I'll make another, 20% cooler pony pixel art thing on Saturday, my task tomorrow is to draw a "mid-sized tree in the dead of winter" at someone's request. And ideas of what I should do? I think I want to do something involving Rarity, those purple locks of a mane look deviously hard yet fun to work with

Good point! I think my style is a bit similar to the style used in the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games' pokemon drawings, probably mostly because of my style of shading

Just good ole' MS Paint for 99% of the work, then just ran it through the GiMP for transparency

Oh, thanks a ton! I was actually distracted a ton while making it, it really took 5-6 hours if you include the ~3 hours of studying, forums lurking, etc. done during the process Fortunately, I was able to focus enough to get it done in a reasonable amount of time (though hopefully I'll get more efficient at outlining pony shapes, which always takes me upwards of an hour)

Thanks! I actually got another friend of mine to critique it, and he suggests that I fix the shading of the hair behind the neck a bit -- I think I should do that Other than that, he said it was great.
