Why doesn't Daring Do get Cabelleron arrested?

Equestria seems to work on a City type law system; I.E., the only locations where law enforcement exists is inside larger cities: the bigger the city, the more established the presence. As such, each city's law enforcement more or less operates only in its area and doesn't leave its borders.

The only force that actually DOES operate in an "entire nation" sense is the royal guard, and they only go after big threats, plus they suck. So as long as cabelleron sticks to the outskirts of civilization, he's fine.

I personally don't think "Daring Do keeps this bad guy around to sell her books" makes much sense. I also feel Equestria doesn't really have police, though (outside of a couple places like Manehattan). I don't think crime is much of a problem there; Ponies like Dr. Cabelleron are a rare exception.

Those books make good money. Why would Daring-Do want to stop having adventures to write about?

Why couldn't she just make some up? Or make them better than they actually are? Writers are free to do anything with their stories. They don't have to adhere to reality. If Daring Do understood that, she'd have less dissatisfied ponies like Quibble.

Actually, the only reason Quibble didn't like the newer books was because they were more action and adventure then thinking and puzzle solving. She also seems to be doing very well just sticking with reality, so why change what she's been doing?

As far as law enforcement works in Equestria, you're arrested only if you're causing trouble within the vicinity of the law enforcer's city or town. Appaloosa had a Sheriff but he probably only jailed up people that caused problems in Appaloosa, other cities are out of his jurisdiction. The same can be said about the police force in Manehattan. The Royal Guards don't really seem like a police force, they seem to be focused on just protecting members of the noble family and Canterlot's walls. I'm only eluding to the idea of other genres of fiction where guards of a city does still arrest those that cause trouble behind the city walls as well so I'm only going to guess Royal Guards also imprison unruly ponies.

As for Caballaron, he's really not breaking any laws because there doesn't seem any laid out laws to be heard of and even if there was, I don't think treasure hunting is really a crime. Kidnapping would be a crime as well as beating up one of their hostages but there is no evidence for it I suppose, neither is there a court or law enforcement within those areas.

Quibble's been bitching about them being too unrealistic when they were. The problem was how they were presented. Just look at how he criticized everything that happened to him in the jungle.

You do know that's not tangible? Nobody's gonna let some criminal try to mug or capture them for aesthetics.

You obviously don't use Instagram or Tumblr. Aesthetic is a popular meme on both of those social media sites.
