How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I became a fan out of curiosity for the show and wondered what all the fuss was about. Hey everyone, I'm Laura but online I'm known as A Jewel of Rarity or Jewel for short. I used to be a member here over 3 years ago but some things happened and I had to leave (I will not go into detail) I've been a member of the MLP community for what feels like years now, the show in the past has helped me with depression and the community has helped with that as well. Without the MLP community I wouldn't be who I am today. Long ago when I was still an active user on this forum I used to do very basic art stuff like re-colors and basic signatures (I even had a signature shop) without this community my interest in art would have never been sparked and I would have never went on to pursue that as my career. Here is a few things I have done: I have come a long way from just recoloring Lyra, slapping some wings on her and calling her my OC. I have also made a huge change in my life, any of you who have been here all this time I was gone you would have known me as male but that is no longer the case. I am a Transgender female now. I came out a while ago but only recently have I come out IRL and began my transition.
