Starlight vs Twlight

If there a thread for this i apologize but was wanting a say.  Since seeing Starlight power in the season 5 finale i was thinking who would actually win a battle.

 

First, we know both mares have no combat training. Unlike Shining armour for example who is more defensive anyway but I digress. Neither have any kind of tactics.

 

Now we saw Twilight fighting ability for example when she fought off the tasle worm and Tirek. Although it hard to judge due to the power boost but it clear Twilight prefers to fire first think later.

Starlight well that little tricky. We know she can fly with magic and fire at the same time, however, Twilight has wings and can dodge just as easy.  From what we saw Twilight has terrible accuracy or perhaps that just causing Starlight knew where Twilight was going to appear.

 

Both seem equal in power despite Twilight Alicornship. It not like the Avatar state where she will get a 1-up. I think the finale pretty much sumed up they are evenly matched

 

The one thing we never seen Starlight struggle unlike seeing Twilight lifting up a ursa minor (granted that was during season 1)

Going by the Season 5 finale, Starlight was on-par with Twilight when it came to combat. I think Starlight's more experienced with combat spells and fighting in general, but since Twilight's an alicorn, her spells have more raw power/"muscle" to them. If they were to fight until one goes down, I think it'd come down to whoever gets the most exhausted first.

If you pay attention during the fight, Twilight had to shield like 3 or 4 hits while Starlight had to only put a shield uo for one (I counted before, just don't remember at the moment). Since Twilight spent more energy shielding attacks, she got exhusted quicker. Also since Starlight probably has more experience with combat magic, she was probably more efficient with her magic, too. Honestly, looking at how bad Twilight fought and how much needless energy she wasted, it makes sense that she would get tired at the same time as Starlight despite having far more raw power.

It would probably be like one of these Freddy vs. Jason type deals where nobody ever really wins.  They just go back and forth forever, and when you think one of 'em is down, you get a denouement scene where they're back.  It would probably be like Peter Griffin vs. the big chicken.

 

 

Oh, who am I kidding, Starlight would clean her clock.

The way I see it is this: As much as I friggin hate this, it seems Starlight has more raw magical power than Twilight does (you know, because reasons) so in an all out purely magical strength brawl, Starlight might win that. However, what Twilight has that Starlight doesn't, is the overwhelming smarts. Twilight could possibly outwit Starlight in a lot of scenarios. So in that case it is a match of brain vs. brawn and I think Twilight has enough brain to win.

Twilight is only skilled in non combat spells , In combat she needs her friends . It took words to convince Starlight :/ . Starlight manage to win becuz Twilight was so dumb

Starlight developed spells specific for her plans, Starlight no doubt had more prep work done than Twilight. When Starlight tried to fight Twilight after her town was cleared up she end up losing since she made no plans on how to deal with Twilight. She was no doubt researching Twilight since she may have been a regular at Twilight's seminars and figured her in and out dedicating her life for beating Twilight and the Elements of Harmony. Also Twilight doesn't focus on developing any combative spells. Her teleporting was more or less learned out of curiosity and because she is just a bookworm not to become the greatest unicorn warrior.
