Would MLP as a franchise benefit more from TV or web?

With more and more web exclusive series coming into production, and a new generation being brought up through internet and apps more than with actual television, I have to wonder. Is MLP best left for airing on TV, or should it and future generations of the show be web exclusive?

I once made a thread about Traditional TV getting pushed more and more into the background, with cable providers like AT&T having the unsubbing customers in one year ever and with the rise of Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime, with most likely more streaming services to come.

 

I think it should be wise to slowly go into that direction, because there is not enough to gain anymore for TV.

i imagine they will just merge the two. With streaming and web based programs becoming bigger and bigger, I expect within the next several years for cable providers to just go fully online so that you can enjoy the best of both worlds whether you are on the go, or relaxing at home. I know my cable provider is hinting they want to go in that direction.

it is so easy to just air them on both sources, there is no need to choose one over the other
