Could Cutie Pox give Gabby a Cutie Mark?

Anyone remember when Applebloom drank a potion from Zecora's hut and begin to gain multiple cutie marks plus the abilities associated with it? What if Gabby drank that potion would she actually gain cutie marks?

And since Gabby is good at everything would it not make sense she would have all those cutie marks?

my guess is no. ponies are probably the only animal species that can contract the disease in equestria

i could be wrong, but i think the reason the ponies have cutie marks is because they specialize...

gabby is good at alot, but she may not be "great" at a particular thing... where as ponies are.

though it would be interesting (and i think twi would agree...) to see what happends when she takes the potion...

I think Cutie Pox is a pony only disease, although I do wonder what would happen if Gabby were to get hold of Heart's Desire and use it in the same way as Apple Bloom did.

Most diseases are incapable of traveling outside certain animal groups due to being designed to interact with certain chemical/genetic information. Its like if you tried to infect a gameboy with a virus made for a PC.

So the cutie pox probably can ONLY infect ponies.

 

Not that there aren't diseases that cross species of course (like rabies), but since cutie pox targets a trait that's specific to ponies, its highly unlikely it would affect others.
