Which was creepier?

Also, don't forget this: You can't have a nightmare if you never dream.

That line alone is by far the most unsettling thing I've seen in the show. It wasn't even "creepy" on its own, but when I look at their smiles thinking of that line (and the whole song) suddenly they become even more disturbing, because it gives them a context that can be applied to the real world. In the other episode the smiles were just meant to make an absurd situation for comedy sake, they aren't unsettling in a way that makes you think.

Now, they're still far away from being the most unsettling thing I've ever seen, but this is MLP, and I don't expect that from this kind of show.

Well in season 6, Starlight uses powerful magic in order to strip away free will and enslave her supposed friends into doing her bidding.

I find it more creepy that she would be willing to do this kind of things to people she is supposed to like and befriended, than random strangers.

Also remember Starlight made that village and made all the villagers like that because of some mentally ill obsession and fear of her friends leaving again. That's pretty creepy on it's own. That's like something straight out of a Batman villain with all the psychological problems attached.
