It was a nice afternoon, the sun was setting and the sky was turning red. Farah sat behind her desk at the top floor of the Anti Monster Task Torce, or AMTF for short, headquarters. She stared through the big windows that gave her a great view of the city. She should be filling in reports but she couldn't bother right now. She sighed, it had been quite busy the last few days with multiple attacks. it was almost like there was something going on, this couldn't be a coincidence. 

 

she heard a knock on the door, a young guy named Adam came in. "Miss Epiphany, there has been another attack" he said nervous. Farah sighed "what kind?" she asked annoyed while pushing her chair away from the desk "I don't know" Adam said. Farah sighed again, growing more annoyed "how many?" "I don't know either" he said. Farah slammed her fist on the desk "why do you come her while you fucking don't know anything?" she growled but Adam didn't answer but stared at his feet. Farah sighed "allright, not your fault. we should better better be going, you can come and call Mark too. let's go" She walked across the room and grabbed her weapons, attatched the sword and daggers to her belt and the iron bar on her back. Then she ran downstair while waiting for the others to join her.

Vladimir walked down the road in the now empty city. He had forced every citizen out of there by saying that they needed to plunder their houses and if they don't get away they would die. He wouldn't do that if they stayed of course, but he was feared enough so they complied. Scouts had found a nest of parasites nearby, however the other town it was close to wasn't as lucky. A good amount has been infested or brutally eaten alive. He had a plan. He would try and get past those parasites by collecting all the blood in the middle, and sneak past them to neutralize the nest. A dangerous task if he was an ordinary human, fortunately he wasn't. He would let the AMTF clean up the rest. After all, glory wasn't what he was looking for.

after not even a minute Adam and Mark had met Farah outside. She turned to mark "where was this attack?" she asked him. "sector 4a" he said, happy to finaly know something. "allright" Farah nodded "it's close to the next city, again. we must check this out, I'm really done with these attacks. we have to finish this. let's go!" she said to the others and left towards sector 4a, even though she knew that she would probably not find the origins of the attacks there, she had to check it out anyway.

Vladimir approached the town, he could hear the damn things screeching and devouring their screaming prey. It was night time, so he had the advantage. With a deep breath, he sunk down into the shadows, and moved over to the city. He hid behind a wall, and started collecting all the blood into a big ball that he dropped in the middle. The parasites where of course attracted to the blood, so they all gathered there and started feasting. With that done, he started moving towards the nest...

Farah was on the way to the place of the attack while she heard a much louder noise, a screetching noise. Her eyes narrowed "gotcha" she whispered, she knew she had found what she had been looking for. She changed direction to where the noise came from and hid behind a wall to check out what was going on, she was the parasites that were gathered around a big ball of blood. "what the heck..." she whispered and she sighned to mark and adam, who had folowed her, to stay hidden while she checked it out. she went close to the feasting parasites and placed a forcefield around them so that they couldn't escape anymore, then the dared to come a bit closer to where appeared to be their nest, but suddenly a movement caught her eye. she didn't know what it was so she decided to wait and see what it was exactly and what it would do.

Vladimir was oblivious to the ATMF that where outside. He took out his dual machetes and started whispering russian words, as he did that his swords burned crimson and he stabbed it right into the middle of the nest. Nothing happened for a few seconds, until the sword started sucking every drop of blood from the nest, effectively killing it. With that done, he noticed that he couldn't hear the parasites that much. What happened?

Farah couldn't help but stumble backwards a bit when suddenly the blood got sucked from the nest and it died, this was NOT usual to say the least but she regained controll again and stood up strong, there was only one explanation for this and that was magic. She took her sword in her hand and cleared her throath "who ever there is, come out inmediately." she said with a commanding voice, then she nodded to mark and adam to come out too to help her if needed.

Vladimir was shocked that someone was there already, he thought that there would at least be 5 minutes for him that he could use for escape. Whoever she was asked him to come out. On one hand he could easily just convert into a shadow and get away, on the other he didn't see what would be the problem if he showed himself. He sheated his machetes and walked out into vision "Good evening miss" He said simply, however he couldn't spot her either. The only indication he had that she was here, was her voice and he could feel that there where multiple beings with blood in here. So it was probably the ATMF and their rather frightening leader. The previous captain was a moron and he died by commiting suicide because he didn't have the ball to do this anymore. But after she had taken control, things have gone smoothly.

a guy came out, he didn't look impressed at all. Farah didn't really know who he was, she only vaguely recognised him from somewhere but she didn't know from where. she pointed her sword to him "who are you and what do you think you're doing here?" she asked wish a low voice.

Vladimir looked down at the sword pointed at him, and up at her again, A rather stern look on his face now "Miss, i respect you very much for your rather noble work, but please do put that sword away. I believe that we are at that time era where threatening a stranger is considered barbaric." He took out some mint gum, any ate it "Anyways, my name is Vladimir Romaniuk. Not sure if you have heard it, but let me bring out another name that might ring some bells. The Black Rose." He turned around, without looking at their reaction and looked up at the now dead nest "I believe that you have heard the name miss with you being the captain of ATMF and all." Said Vladimir, still holding his polite tone.

Farah looked at him and then at her sword, she didn't trust him and his polite tone annoyed her, and even more the fact that he was actualy right. While keeping an eye on him she put away her sword again but when she heard the name The Black Rose she wished she had kept it out. Of course she had heard of them, who hadn't? Even before she had joined the AMTF the black rose had been something to look out for. "I indeed heard of The black rose, but that only answers one half of my question, what exactly are you doing here?" she asked.

Vladimir sighed "I am just here to observe a dead nest, plus a mysterious big pool of convenient blood where the parasites where. Nothing special..." He let that hang for a second before face palming "I am here to destroy the nest of course. Why else? Do you think that i have nothing better to do but come and laugh at unfortunate civilians?" Asked Vladimir, getting slightly irritated now. He calmed down "Sorry about that. Anyways, i recommend you finish of the parasites now while they are feasting because trust me, those things are feisty and deadly. Even for us magic users." He spitted out the gum in the trash bin and looked over at her again "It was nice meeting you, and your friends that where hiding. But unless you have more to tell me, i have about 20000 civilians to let back into a city"

Farah sighed deep and clearly annoyed, she didn't even care to hide it anymore, this vladimir guy was gettin on her nerves. but he saved her a lot of trouble by destroying that nest so she let him get away with it this time. She nodded "good luck with your civillians." she said but there was no sympaty in her voice at all. then she turned her back to him and faced her forcefield again in which the parasytes were and with a simple hand gesture she ordered Mark to destroy the parasites with his magic. He was one of the people she concidered as some kind of a friend, they got along quite well and his magical ability to turn things to dust by just looking at them was quite handy.

Vladimir simply nodded at her until a giant screech could be heard. Vladimir felt his mood drop. For fucks sake, his scouts did not report a fucking FATHER. He turned towards the captain "King parasite incoming, make the thing stand still and i will make sure to kill it." Said Vladimir, already thinking of various strategies to kill it. Forgetting the fact that she was probably not going to like his bossy tone

Farah felt her stomach twist when she heard the big father parasite screetch. her first concern wasn't obeying the annoying ones orders but to take care of her own men. "you two, get the fuck outta here! mark, take adam back to the headquarters, I'll be fine" she said but then turned to the father parasite again, not waiting to see if the two would obey her orders, she knew they would.

 

then she gave vladimir a deadly look "do you think I have unlimited power, how long do you exactly plan on making me hold him still? you better be hella fast because otherwise I'll use you as a sacrefice and finish him myself." she growled to him while raising her hands and grabbing the father parasite with invisible hands.

Vladimir nodded "4 seconds please" He said and charged up his sword again. This time, it turned black as he muttered words of power. Once he was done with that, he shadow blinked right under the Parasite and stabbed it right in the mouth. He had to run out though instead of blinking because he had used so much shadow power for this. Again, for a second nothing happened and it started charging, but suddenly shadowy talons gripped the parasite and started pulling it down. The parasite struggled and tried to break, but it could do nothing as it slowly got squeezed to dead, creating disturbing bone crunching sounds.

Farah held the parasite as still as she could and let vladimir do the hard work again, but she couldn't say that her job was easy too. she had used a part of her power on creating the forcefield she had trapped the parasites in, and the father parasite was strong too. she was reliefed to let the parasite go as vladimirs magic took over and chrushed it to death. the sound of it wasn't exactly nice but she had to admit that she was impressed by what he could do.

Vladimir sprawled out on the ground. He was very tired. He only expected to use the big blood spell and disappear again, not the most taxing spell he had. He slowly got up "Well, thanks for the help Miss, but like i mentioned. I have a city to open up again." Said Vladimir with a shaky breath, as he sheated his machetes

Farah saw vladimir being exhaused, which was logical because of the amount of magic he had used, and she got slightly milder towards him. "are you sure you're okay?" she asked carefully. no matter how annoying this guy was, her job was to take care of people and protect them, and that included annoying people like him.

A bit surprised by the sudden concern, Vladimir nodded "Yeah, i'm good." He was about to continue walking, but stopped when he realized that he couldn't do this alone "Actually, i could really use your help. If you follow me, i will show you an anti monster bunker where i have forcefully evacuated the civilians. Could you let them out, and say that you saved them from The Black Rose?" Asked Vladimir, as he felt some slight cramps already approaching his stomach from the magic overload

Farah hadn't really expected him to accept her offer but nodded anyway, now that she offered it she couldn't refuse anymore. but his request made her raise an eyesbrow. "forcefully evacuated? saved them from The Black Rose?" she asked, this didn't sound like it was completely right, but what did she expect from an organisation like The Black Rose? to nicely ask them? that was unlikely.

Vladimir sighed "Yes, i threatened them. I told them that the black rose would be raiding each and every house and if they wanted to stay alive they had to go to the bunker. In my defense i only did it because they didn't listen when i made Black rose members act as civilians and tell them to run from the monster attack. I apologize if this is a punishable crime, but it would be a shame if they where to die from something that could easily be prevented"

Farah nodded, that he had admitted himself that it was not right made it easyer for her and he was kinda right when he said that it would have been a shame to let them die. "I guess you're right, the result was more importand as the way to get there in this situation." she said "therefor I won't tell the police or anyone, especially since you went to deal with the parasites yourself." "and now, where is this bunker of yours, I have civilans to rescue from The Black Rose"

Vladimir nodded "Right, just follow this path, and use any sort of magic when you reach a big Blue rock. Then a highlighted 80x80 cm square should pop up. Just pull that up, and you shall find the bunker. Good luck saving those poor souls from the big bad Black Rose" Said Vladimir with a wink, as he started walking towards his mansion.

Farah nodded when she received the instructions and without saying another word she walked in the given direction. soon she found the big blue rock and she fired an energy ball to it, and just as he had said, a highlighted square appeared which she pulled up. Then she opened the bunger and saw the civilans there, they looked all so scared. "it's okay, I came here to tell you that you can go back to your houses again, It's safe now." she said and everyone began to swarm outside, creating one big chaos. "whoa, calm down everyone, this won't go any faster. first I want the families with young children to come out, one by one, then I want the older couples and then the rest, now let's get moving" she said and one by one she let the families out so that they could go back to their houses.
