ManaMinori 4,145 October 22, 2016 Share October 22, 2016 Surely some of the writers and directors grew up with older gens of MLP, so it's not too far out of left field for someone to ask. If one of them, perhaps working alongside the creator, Bonnie Zacherle, addressed the fans of g4 in some way, to encourage them to appreciate and rejuvenate the older gens- to create a new generation fan base for them, and treat them as if they were g4 (fanfics, art, music, PMV, animations, crafts, etc.), But kept the reason behind the request a secret (but let's say its for premature hype or collaboration for past gen reboots). Do you guys think that given the staff's request, and no publicly announced reason behind it, this "challenge" would be accepted by the Brony community? How would you contribute to their request in appreciating and promoting older generation ponies? 1 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
K1539 47 October 22, 2016 Share October 22, 2016 From what I've seen of the older stuff, it's significantly different from FiM. Every Brony is different, but I don't think there would be any significant response from the community as a whole. At least, not for a cryptic request simply to "appreciate the older gens." Perhaps there would be more of a response if they were to give a reason for that kind of request.
Gestum 2,493 October 22, 2016 Share October 22, 2016 If a show isn't good enough to encourage people to be fans of it then it doesn't matter who tells people to be fans of it.

They're out there. They just need to come out of hiding But as for g4 fan base, the problem is they think that g4 is all that exists Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
cider float 2,538 October 24, 2016 Share October 24, 2016 They would have to redress the look and storytelling style of the older generations, in other words remakes are in order to give attention to them for nowadays folks. I can imagine short stories made from the older generations. I would watch them as I'm always been interested in antiquity.
Steve Piranha 29,429 October 24, 2016 Share October 24, 2016 its not that it hasn't been good enough to gain fans. They're out there. They just need to come out of hiding But as for g4 fan base, the problem is they think that g4 is all that exists Kinda silly considering that G4 WOULDN'T exist without them I appreciate them from the standpoint of business, a successful franchise that entertained past generation. It faced great success, and failures. In time, it became what it is now. But from a viewer stand point, I would say that it was a good move to make it more than a bunch of colorful horses struggling to make the best birthday ever, and the best makeover next episode. It had villains and adventure. Nothing original, but it was more entertaining than the former. Still, it's a work of it's time, and should be seen as such, and not being compared to FiM AT ALL Sig by Discords
