*she continues to search unable to hear a word you said due to her headphones. She locates a camera and unhooks it,then pulls it out of where it was hidden. After doing so she takes off her headphones and walks over to you with the camera in hand. she pokes you*

"... just... a wee... bit... further..."

 

Gracie's hand grasped at the air that was right next to the single key, dangling from a chain at the end of a woefully thin branch sprouting from about the 992 ft. mark of the infamous thousand-foot cliff.  She repeatedly clutched at the key, trying her damndest to reach it from as close as she could get without the branch snapping under her weight...

 

At least, she felt it was the right distance out on the limb; she hadn't exactly been paying much attention.

 

After the island had 'told' her the key had been out here, she'd tried to make a direct beeline for it.  Of course, the island was WELL known for making a trip anywhere into a nightmarish romp through the proverbial gauntlet.  Then again, the island hadn't been ready for Gracie, either.

 

The first obstacle had been the forest itself; she managed to avoid the poison ivy, but did get a faceful of pollen and another tear in her jeans.  Next had been the cutesy animals - those, she avoided like the plague.  Then had been the river; the piranhas had been a nice touch, but she found them easy to deal with after pushing enough rocks into the water to cross.  No swimmy, no bitey, right?  Finally, she'd traversed the distance to only have to climb up the slope of the cliff.  The main path up would likely have been booby trapped - she decided that the hard way was actually the easier way.

 

If there had been one thing she'd learned from watching the show, it had been that ANYTHING she interacted with was suspect... including the other contestants.  Hence, she was alone.  Plus, they seemed like the kind that would generate enough entertainment for the show to keep moving - the less attention they paid to the 'looney', the better.

 

The fire?  Well, a girl's gotta have some fun, right?

 

The key hung there, a flash of light from the sun making it twinkle like a small star.  It was just within her grasp... if only...

 

"... yew... feckin'... little..."

 

Her fingertips closed around the very side-edge of the key, and she jerked it toward her, snapping it into her palm as she sat bolt upright on the branch.  

 

"HA!  There's the auld pepper!  Ta be true, I just knew I'd find ye!"

 

With that, the branch beneath her snapped like a freshly-cracked walnut, and it plummeted to the water below, bouncing off the cliffside a few times before finally landing with a very anti-climactic  'splut' .

 

Gracie, however, went nowhere.

 

Because she'd been climbing the cliff in the first place, she was secured tightly to the wall.  She had watched the branch's descent into the water below, and shrugged to herself.  She had what she'd come for, and it tasted so very sweet... the little mental cupcake of victory was delicious, and she took a moment to savor the flavor of it.

 

Then, glancing below, she shrugged, laughed out loud FAR too loudly, and simply cut herself free from the rope.

 

Her manic, insane yet joyous laughter could be heard all the way down to the water, where she made an enormous cannonball splash before simply disappearing under the surface, only bubbles left in her wake.

* Turned over to Atropa after she poke him. He walk over and look over her shoulder* 

 

" Huh? you find something?"  

 

*Then stopped and look up as he heard a fainted maniacal laugher as the birds fly across the sky as if the laughter settled them. * 

 

*To himself*

"Someone is having waay too much fun.."

*I hold up the camera trying to observe every inch of it while giving you a clear view of it. I take out one of my headphones and look at you* what is with this camera? and why was it in that tree over there? *I set the camera down and start to look for more.*

"Well... we in a big hit TV show, where the audiences want to see everything we do or say. So of course there are cameras here. We're basically a lab rats for "drama" entertainment. Moreover, that how Chris would know what we are doing..let alone enjoying our misfortunes." 

 

"So I'm not sure why you're acting surprise about that."
