gaming Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle Discussion Thread

Hi, all.

 

What are your thoughts on the Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle mobile game?

 

The basic premise of this game centers around a Dimensional Distortion that's plaguing the Dragon Ball world, and you have to assemble a group of powerful fighters in order to fight and stop the Distortion from spreading.

 

This game allows you to summon Rare, Secret Rare, and Super Secret Rare characters to recruit to your team and train them to become the strongest they can ever be.

 

You can also Awaken, Z-Awaken, or Dokkan Awaken the mightiest characters to fight the toughest foes the game has to offer.

 

You can take on events to further strengthen your characters, as well.

As a big fan of dragonball I am addicted to this game and recently finished the grind to get LR Goku onto my TEQ team, along with the Androids on my AGL team!

I actually don't know the game. There have been too many DBZ games. I remember some really unbearably slow SNES fighting game the most. And then there was some games that had Trunks messing up the future or something

This is actually a gacha game on smartphone - you summon characters, you win events, you collect stuff, etc... It's the only game in that genre I actually accept playing, because it's Dragon Ball after all.

I actually don't recommend getting in the game - unless it's already something you're sucked into

As for the one with Trunks... well a lot of games are like that, seeing as DBZ ended a long time ago, they need excuses to make a new story mode for the new games - so just having Trunks mess something up is usually an excuse

I have to agree. Also he got a makeover in Super which I don't like.

 

I usually don't care for the games because of I have a problem with one of the developers, namely Dimps.

Agreed; Trunks in Super is just plain weird.
