Feather Spiral 1,892 May 12, 2012 Share May 12, 2012 (edited) And here goes my strategy of surfing for hours just to find interesting banners to click. ): Anyway, I just realized I have a few ponified song excerpts, mostly choruses (like Gimme Gimme Gimme by ABBA). I was planning on finishing them and making threads, but it'd be more generous (not to mention less work for me) to have them printed on the t-shirts. EDIT: Oh yea, as Kyro below me says, the banners are not disruptive/distracting the smallest bit. See my previous post, where I forget that I had enabled them, since they're so discreet. Queen Cassie 3,057 May 12, 2012 Share May 12, 2012 In the event it helps people make a decision as to whether or not to enable ads, this moderator has kept ads enabled since they were first added, and will never opt-out of the ads. They're not disruptive, and having them around helps a lot. Besides, I've seen a couple of pretty interesting things in these ads too over my time on the forum. You never know: something neat might catch your eye. 2 Used to be known on here as Kyronea. Want to read psychological analyses of the Mane Six? Start here. WhiteLightning 339 May 12, 2012 Share May 12, 2012 Monthly fees would be a disaster for me, I don't have PayPal nor do I have a creditcard. *sigh* I wish I could donate, but I have to be 18 to get a PayPal account or a creditcard here in the Netherlands. 3005 332 May 12, 2012 Share May 12, 2012 (edited) Ads earn something both for viewing them and clicking them (they earn much more for a click, by the way). I'm not paid anything if you actually buy the product or service that it's advertising. With that said, please do not click ads if you are not interested in what they offer. Google will know, trust me, and that's going to do more harm than good. Actually, with affiliate marketing, you get ads that will get you paid a percentage of what is made off the sold product. I'm assuming you're using AdSense, which is great in the fact that it uses the per-click basis, but affiliate marketing could also be another option. I know people who've made thousands and thousands of dollars per month off that one source of revenue. Affiliate marketing is also superior in that you can choose the products you'd like to market, rather than be automatically given them, as on AdSense, when they aren't always the most relevant.
