Paraolympics. Fandom and target audience reaction?

I recall there being a certain crippled pegasus pony in "Trade Ya" named Stellar Eclipse. Along with that, there being the pegasus who can't fly, Scootaloo, and a certain derp-eyed pegasus that have shown to be out of the ordinary. How would the fandom and the target audience react to an episode where instead of putting these characters in a negative light, they were given the opportunity to to show that they're not handicapped, but "handicapable", and winners in spite of their flaws? What if Hasbro greenlit a Paraolmpic episode, with the sypnosis being something like: scootaloo gets an invite to the X Games, which involves extreme scootering  with other sports professionals, and an invite to the Pony Paraolympics with pony professionals. Wanting to accept the former invitation, her friends convince her to take part in the latter.

What do you guys think the fandom and the target audience reaction might be to an episode of this nature?

I'd have to agree. Furthermore, I don't think the show has portrayed them as having any problems functioning in society, so why single them out?

they don't have to be shown not being able to function in society. But I think a series with a cast of 6 relatable characters can certainly pull off pitching an episode that can be relaable to kids who do struggle with disabilities (just like how giving bald cancer dolls to yound cancel patients, or three legged dogs to amputees makes them feel good and have a common bond with that pet or object). For all intents and purposes, this episode could teach them and others that there's still things that they can go onto acheive in spite of what they can't overcome and the hand that life dealt them.

I have met many handicapped in my life and i also worked with some of them.

It's probably just from my own experience, but most of these people really don't wanna be in the spotlight. They are just okay leading their normal lifes and going to work everyday, without anybody feeling sorry for them, because that makes them feel uncomfortable and different.

While an episode like that might be well meant, it can also achieve the opposite. I am sure some handicapped would role their eyes at an episode like this because, like Gestum already said, it would feel way too forced.

Please, don't be afraid to talk to me. I am not as unapproachable, as you might think.
