pnylvr 185 May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 I'd like to see her again, maybe as a series finale antagonist. I'm not sure about the context, though. Maybe Celestia tries to fight a villain head-on and turns into her briefly during/after the combat?
ManaMinori 4,145 May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 not really. we would be expecting her, which kills the suspense Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
Jeric 46,860 May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 12 hours ago, Daybreaker said: YES. I wanna see her return, and fight against Grogar. This is actually an interesting idea. Tapping into a darker version of yourself for the greater good has been handled well in most of my other favorite properties. Though it may fit the show better if she was able to reject the temptation. I can also imagine a scenario in which Chrysalis would find some magical trinket to force such a change during a plot to get revenge. Or, just change into Luna to push just the right buttons. A wee predictable, but it would be something I could see the show doing.
Victoria Sponge 1,017 May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 Maybe, especially since the one we saw was little more than a nightmare. It would be cool to see her in the real world being a genuine threat.

Ganondorf8 11,369 May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 I definitely want to see this concept come back and expanded upon. Daybreaker was definitely an unexpected twist despite being on familiar territory given what she is, and if given the proper development, she could potentially be a villain unlike any we've seen before, or perhaps a reluctant form Celestia is forced to become to face off against a far greater evil that threatens Equestria. Goat-kun 2,528 May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 A battle of wits and brawn between a princess and her nightmare would be quite amusing. Even more amusing would be if a defeated nightmare chose to stay inside one's mind to snidely comment on particular situations once upon a strange moon, or to even wrestle control of flesh and magic from the owner at wit's end. It's good to become your own best friend, even if some part of you isn't exactly fit for public. Hmm, did we have such a lesson already? My memory of slice-o-life episodes is kinda foggy. TL; DR: to befriend and master your own nightmare would be a sign of a true master. Plus think of all the nightmare princess toys!
Unlikeable Pony 2,698 May 22, 2017 Share May 22, 2017 The thing about daybreaker is that her personality was just... off. She wasn't ANYTHING like celestia. Like, She's a figment of starlight's imagination and not the real celestia, so that makes sense there, but I'd honestly expect a nightmare Celestia to have more of her core personality at who she is. Daybreaker just was generically evil and laughing it up, while I figure an Evil celestia would more have her focus less on "LOOK AT HOW POWERFUL YOU CAN BE!" and more "YOU ARE AN UNGRATEFUL SISTER LUNA AND A MASSIVE PAIN IN MY FLANK" Celestia never has shown any desire for power, and her few flaws that we've seen tend to be more about the stress of ruling her nation.
