Wingnut 6,732 June 18, 2017 Share June 18, 2017 While it seems no active member here is old enough to recall the 60s Batman series during its original run, many of us, including yours truly, caught the reruns in syndication. Yes, the show was silly. For instance, how many times did the villains knock them out and strap them into a death trap of some sort but NEVER THOUGHT TO UNMASK THEM??? While his role in Batman derailed his career as a serious actor, Adam made the best of it by embracing not so serious sectors in entertainment. A great example of this kind of offbeat work was his recurring role as the mayor in Family Guy. You could tell his desire to put a smile on the viewers' faces was genuine. Rest in peace, Adam. I remember a one-shot villain who made convoluted deathtraps for fun/profit/whatever... but still hired some guys to just shoot any escapees. Best of both worlds.
