Techno was now doing a couple of things on a desk and he had his back turned to Morax...

Morax rolled his eyes dismissively, immediately put off by the pony's poor attitude. He was beginning to remember why he hated ponies so much already.

"Yes, yes. Thank you," he replied, with a voice devoid of genuine appreciation. Turning away from Mist he began to walk towards the tall alicorn in the distance, although angled himself so that he ended up watching the commander from the side.

Seems busy. I should wait until the next attack before making my move - a distraction will make things go much smoother.

Morax continued to study Techno from a safe distance, eventually sitting down at a nearby bench while pretending to sharpen a sword he found. Perhaps while he waited another pony would arrive to give him further insight into the situation.

Seems busy. I should wait until the next attack before making my move - a distraction will make things go much smoother.

Techno then started walking past Morax only to stop and stare straight at Morax narrowing his eyes. His system was detecting something strange about Morax...

Morax made sure to avert his eyes when Techno looked towards him, pretending instead to be focussing on something behind the alicorn before shrugging to himself and turning back to his sword. He made sure to suppress the magic within him while he waited.

Arctica watched the action with a disinterested look on her face, more concerned on hiding her pain. "Well, this seems interesting, but I'm gonna go find something that's actually fun."

She stepped away from her bed, limping with her cast as she looked around for a wheelchair. She was restless, not stupid.

Mist was now inspecting some guards, with her usual bad attitute. She was suspicious of that pony she had met earlier, but she shrugged it off. She didn't want that to get in the way if her important duties. After a sharp inspection, she hurriedly went back to the base and began packing some provisions. Me, Luna, Techno and Arctica are going to go around to manehattan and Canterlot. We need to make sure the gaurds and warriors are soing their jobs. She thought for a moment before spotting Arctica, who was supposedly looking for a wheelchair. She went by to a line of wheelchairs hidden behind a tree and helped Arctica on to it. "We're travelling to Manehattan And Canterlot to check on how our warriors are doing", she explained, before taking flight, scanning the ground for Luna. After she had spotted her so that she would know where to go next, she turned back to Arctica. "Command the gaurds to patrol the everfree forest", she ordered. TU: Yeah knowing how Herobrien works it might be a bad idea to go into Canterlot or Manehatten un-camouflaged at this time as he would probably have traps set up for us. It's just he's likely memorised our schedule so he'll know the exact time to set up a trap on us in those places. Anyways if we do go we'll probably need to be invisible somehow in order to avoid getting into one of Herobrien's death traps.

"Oh yeah", she remembered. She looked around to make sure nopony was looking before grabbing a bottle filled with some sort of yellow liquid. "I got this from Zecora", she said to Techno. "It's from a very very very rare flower mixed with dangerous things", she shuddered. "Its probably the last anypony's ever going to get again. It makes us invisible for as long as we want". She then took out another bittle, this time filled with clear liquid. "Then, when we drink this, we'll become visibke again". "We can see each other, but nopony else can". "Good isn't it", she smiled, her long cape flowing out behind her.

Techno was also getting a little memorised by seeing Mist's cape flowing in the wind...

 

TU: Yeah that would be perfect! Plus because it's literally were we switch dimensions in the 4th dimension Herobrien won't be expecting us in that dimension so we'll just walk straight through his trap without him knowing that we're there! Though your cape really is becoming memorising to look at there of how it's flowing in the wind!

Content with what he'd learnt, Morax rose from his seat and quickly walked away, dissolving into a purple fog once more when out of sight. Watching from high above, the spirit plotted his next move with a bright purple grin.

TU: Well really checking on your parent's old cafe would be an easy job if we go to Manehatten! Anyways for me it's really mesmerising to see your capes flowing in the wind but still it's that particular mesmerisation that fries the systems of the monsters in Herobrien's army!

Techno was still a few meters in front of Mist and he was still looking at her cape flowing in the wind...

Mist then turned to Techno and guessed why he was staring at her. "You and your capes...",she muttered, but in a half amused, half sarcastic tone.

TU: Well really most of our enemies would probably get mesmerised by our capes in the wind like this and it would fry their brains out! Like it would literally burn them out after a few seconds!

His patience wearing thin, Morax turned away from the ponies and disappeared further into the forest.

If Herobrien won't act, I'll just have to deal with them myself...

Once he had retreated to a safe distance, Morax reverted back into his physical form, smiling wickedly as creatures that had been stalking him from the shadows turned and bolted at the sight of his true self. Almost as tall as the trees themselves, Morax drew himself to his full height and raised his arms out at his sides, feeling a burning sensation in his chest as he harnessed his more powerful magic. Once he had drawn as much power as he could wield, Morax suddenly slammed his hands together, causing the ground in front of him to rumble and crack in a large radius, like the centre of an earthquake.

"It is time to see what these ponies are truely capable of," Morax said to himself, as the initial cracks began to expand and form large fissures in the forest floor, and from the darkness beneath, a bright light began to shine.

Then they appeared. Dark purple wolf-like creatures, called Garmr, clawed their way out from the magical caverns he had created. Tens - no, hundreds of them, dripping a strange tar-like substance from their skin, they roamed around the genie like a pack of hyenas - a very hungry pack of hyenas - baring their teeth and snapping their jaws expectantly. Morax studied the feral creatures for a moment, then turned back the way he had come.

"Now the real war begins," he decided, before flicking his hand back down the forest trail. And as one, Morax's horde of monsters turned and bound back into the forest, their deafening, ravenous howls carried by the wind back to the Equestrian camp as they closed on their prey.

Mist took a deep breath, hearing the howls in the distance. They couldbe timberwolves, she thought grimly. “Gaurds!”, she shouted. “Go and see if they are wolves!”, “If they are, let one of your scouts come back and warn us, we will fight, so that they wont hurt the civilians!”, she took flight, scanning the area. Spotting Luna again, she went down to her and said” Luna”, there are wolves! And their howls sound so-so...”, she was lost for words. “We need you to lead a small army of ponies there, then me and Techno and Arctica-wait. Arctica is injured. I will see if she can help. We will come to you, and together we will fight those wolves. “, “they sound like alot”.

Luna was worried, the scar still hurting her, but better, though. She could fight. Following Mist’s orders, she went and led a group of warriors to the wolves. She hated this wretched war. Oh no! Look at their size! And how many! She groaned, ordering her warriors to hide, which, as they had learned, they did quickly. Then she sent Arctica a roll of parchment by some powerful spell telling her the power these wolves seemed to have. The others mighg be busy getting ready.
