Does Lauren Faust get royalties?

IDK how it works in TV.  Comics, no, it's "work for hire". Basically, it's like you hire someone to dig a hole, they don't own the hole. Siegel & Schuster never got royalties for Superman & neither Jack Kirby nor Stan Lee got royalties for all the characters they created for Marvel.

Funny you would mention comics. But I'm tired of mentioning the event in question, so let's leave it be.

That quick and dirty answer is yes, of course she does. She received what the industry refers to  as a 'locked' credit.

The standard for someone at her level that time would be around 10% of AGR (gross revenue less deductions) or on some productions it can be 40-50% percent with a reverse graduation based reduced net participation by third parties.

Both of these are standard showrunner agreement clauses (not all governed by the WGA, but some are), and the purposes are (usually) specific to address royalties in syndication but have been applied to creators who have left a production (Faust, Fuller, Sorkin).

I think she does, since she is the creator. :twi:

If I don't understand something or Interpret it wrong, I'm dutch. Sometimes I gamble for meanings of the words. And sometimes I write the wrong words, like week and weak for example. Sorry for it already. :smug:
