What if tempest was an alicorn?

So picture this. Trailer comes out. Pretty much the same. Except that Tempest Shadow is an alicorn. 

How would the fandom reacted? How would you have reacted? How would you have tweaked her backstory to fit her status? Would being an alicorn help or hurt her character?

Like @Twilight Witch said she definitly would have needed an explanation for why she was an Alicorn. She also needs or needed to have a purpose to be an alicorn. I think it would fit her character, and the fact that she was an alicorn had give a few minutes more development for Capper and such, because the introduction between Celestia and Tempest could have been shorter.

If she where an alicorn, I have a simple explanation of it: change her gender, and name to Cosmos, and reveal that he's the brother of Cellie and Luna. YES, COSMOS WAS AN EARLY CONCEPT FOR TEMPEST

It would have made her less interesting to me. I like the idea of a powerful unicorn like that, one that is powerful in fighting skills more than anything. Being an alicorn would have been an instant boost in that regard, lessening the effect. Plus, we don't often see just female unicorns of her size.

I probably wouldn't like it  at all.. there should be a need of explanation of how Alicron came to be as species. Not because one's deserve to be alicron.

Hey maybe they will. They probably decided to remove Cosmos since it would been too much, especially when they already the Storm King. So if they did add the alicorns' brother into the movie that will take away the attention of the  Storm King. But at least they somewhat drop a spoiler alert that the sisters does indeed have an alicorn brother.  So we can only hope.
