Spike/Starlight Episode Idea

This isn't just an episode idea, it's also story element ideas, and elements that both Starlight and Spike could use in the series!

Spike is still a very mysterious character still learning about himself and his role in Equestria, but what if Spike's inner greed is still there, just hidden? What if giant greedy Spike is his version of Midnight Sparkle which haunts him to this very day and Spike is just keeping him in control? Spike doesn't ask for much, and isn't very open about his feelings as much as he used to. These days it's all about keeping his friends sane and being ambassador to dragons and changelings, but Spike does have needs, I can see it in his eyes! You know how annoyed he gets sometimes while taking notes for Twilight!

That's where Starlight comes in! You think she might know some spell that could have her journey into someone's mind? I mean if anyone knows what it was like to be a monster, it's Starlight! That's why she would work so well in helping Spike out in opening up more and we can learn so much more about him! Of course Starlight is invading his privacy so that's a friendship moral right there for her, and not only that but Starlight's possible advice for him could lead to big consequences and accidently release greedy Spike again! But it could also be a friendship moral for Spike so Starlight can help him out with his problems, maybe so he wouldn't have to just do Twilight or Rarity want regardless of him not actually wanting to, or whether or not he and Big Mac still have Guys' Night! Is he afraid to say no to Twilight when she requests him to do something? Cause we know his biggest fear is her abandoning him!

Regardless, I've been wanting these two to have an episode together since even before The Crystalling! I wanna see them actually bond! I wanna see what their friendship takes them! See how far their chemistry can go! Starlight and Spike are veey much alike than one may think! I'm just surprised they haven't bonded that much really since she became Twilight's student! I thought they'd be closer! Not shipping close, more like the relationship they both have with Twilight!

That idea won't work. I mean, I would like to see a Spike/Starlight episode, but I still also want a Spike/Fluttershy episode as well.

Not sure about the specific idea of bringing back dragon greed, but I could see Starlight as a useful confidant for Spike in determining a personal goal for himself which is not entirely derived from his support for the ponies. She has that gumption to spare for others.

A spikelight episode? Maybe Starlight, Twilight and Spike could go looking for dragon spells and Starlight and Spike could be stuck together. I would like that idea.

Personally, I'm hoping for a quick scene where Starlight makes it up to Big Mac for that time she used magic on his voice.

 

Even if it's just something in the background, it would still be nice.

She obviously did a quick drive-by apology in during the animal sanctuary montage

As for the episode idea, do we really need another, Starlight impulsivity does this thing with good intentions but has to learn why not to as well. If you really want her to cast some sort of spell on him, have him bring it up, or better yet, have Starlight take notice first. She gives some heart to heart being the outside perspective to his relationship with Twilight and the Mane 6. This gives Spike a reason to confide in her and then he can be the one to give consent for some magic use. No need to drag Starlight down in something she is supposed to be helping with. That's what Season 7 was for.

I find Starlight and Spike have something in common, they are both Twilight's voice of reasons, the difference is Starlight is more direct to Twilight. They both follow whatever bullshit Twilight came up, like Spike in What About Discord or Starlight in Crystalling, the difference is Starlight will find any excuse to not do it, Spike just did it without questioning Twilight's bullshit. 

So my idea is a bit odd, but i like to see Starlight influences Spike, make him more... disobedience to Twilight, she could suggest him not to follow Twilight order blindly but maybe Spike take it the wrong way and cause the conflict. Maybe Twilight get mad at Starlight for spoiling Spike. I dont know the moral lesson of episode should be but yeah, i would like to see these kind of conflicts.

The moral of the episode would be, Spike has his own rights to do what he wants without going too far. Refusing to do something for Twilight wouldn't make her think any less of him or want him to move out! He's allowed to be open on his opinions.

And a lesson moral for Starlight: don't invade a friend's privacy (in this case Spike's mind) if they don't want to mention something!

One thing I think would be good, showing that Spike helps Fluttershy with the Animal Sanctuary.

Spike could help Starlight similar how he help Twilight, also Starlight and Spike would go to Zecora to help on his Dragon Powers.

Spike always helps Starlight out! I wanna see her help him out for once!  Not Triple Threat help, I mean help him with a personal problem, much like he helped her with Sunburst!

Since Crystalling, there wasnt any big Starlight and Spike interaction, i am very disappointed. That is a big gold mine for potential episode, the writers just keep digging StarlightxTrixie mine, that mine is getting dry already, i know Startrix is the best ship but we need varieties. I demand a Starlight/Spike/Big Mac episode.

How about another D&D episode, Starlight will be a villain this time, that would be cool.
