request OC art polishing

i was asked by a friend to make them an OC, but a combination of 1. i haven't done art in a while and 2. i don't have a pad so i have to use a mouse    resulted in an OC drawing attempt that makes the pony OC maker ref i made look absolutely fantastic, so now im posting on here the ref and what iv done in hopes somepony on here can save my flank before i end up having to figure out a way to tell them i overestimated my art skills..   (i will give credit for your contribution of course)

 

its a sad day when somepony lets there art skills get so rusty an OC maker from 2011 can make something better..  (also, for some reason when i exported the pic from GIMP it flooded the background with a color instead of remaining transparent)

P.S, if you do decide to help im not looking for anything fancy, just something that looks presentable (the poor pony is supposed to have wings, but all my tries ended up looking like combs)

I could try and help out if you want! I have no clue how to do digital art and all that jazz, but I could hand draw the OC. I'm far from professional, but, hey, I can do something.

just about anything would look more presentable then what i made, i tried to start out with a hand sketch, then when i was in GIMP tracing it i ended up altering it a bit, any help would be much appreciated    (based off this im thinking im going to be great at flat schematics when i go to collage to be a machinist)

its a Pegasus mare, that and a wild design (like vinyl scratch/DJ Pon3) where the only specifications given to me

I'll do my best! 

I'll draw the idea in pencil and show it to you before I outline in it pen and color, because I might will probably do something wrong.
