It is just a matter of taste, I do not say that I do not like the other types, but most of the time I drink espresso. I really want to try Turkish coffee, they say it is an exotic one.

As I understand it, its espresso-ground coffee and water (optionally also with sugar), brought to the boil in a pot then served directly into cups; you could probably make that yourself. Filtering isn't done though, so you will be getting a bunch of grounds in the coffee - its for people who want coffee you can chew :)

On the other hand, not long ago at work, we run out of coffee, and someone offered us capsule coffee, we gave it a try. Well, I am not sure why many people like it, but it was just like it we ordered it from a very low quality coffee vending machine.

Expand

As far as I know, its "camp coffee" (like freeze dried coffee, but not freeze dried, left as a thick liquid) - the hot water from the machine washes the liquid out of the pot and dissolves it, but otherwise its just a fancy way to make instant coffee. some pod machines use actual coffee (basically a prepack with a built in filter) or I have seen machines that take "coffee bags" (just like tea bags, but with coffee in them) and pass the water though that. The problem really is that you need a fair bit more coffee grounds than you need tea when making a cupful, so there isn't room for a decent amount of grounds in a tiny capsule or bag...

I miss coffee...

On the other hand, I got one of my Unity-Blender cars to peak at 500MPH.

Which is really cool, but no substitute for good coffee... :)

Not terrible; had one of those weird days where there is work to do, and everything is queued up ready, but Contracts want to make sure they have paid first and apparently the entire finance department are on holiday or something....

Lovely.

I'm just hoping that, with the holidays and winter storm behind us, we've made it through our backlog and things will calm down a bit.

No, I haven't had any covfefe all day. Yes, I'm considering upgrading my computer again.

For the curious, I'm thinking:

  • 12 core CPU if available, 16 if I'm insane enough; anything that leverages a higher clockspeed or IPC while having more cores than my current computer (I have a few multithreaded workloads that would appreciate the extra cores) will do
  • 32GB RAM; 64 if I'm insane enough
  • 1TB SSD because I keep running out of space; 500GB may also work

I'm currently at:

  • 8 core CPU at 3600MHz
  • 16GB RAM
  • 256GB SSD

Sounds great - I wish I had the kind of money to consider that :)

I also wish I can physically attend CES; that way, I'll know what CPUs will be coming out in the next few months.

I don't think you need to be physically there for that though - no doubt any announcements will be reported widely.

I ended up getting more questions than answers, but there are at least a bunch of cliffhangers.

Also I've gotten back into the habit of COFFEE. (I hope.)

I am told there are problems to which Coffee is not the answer.

The jury is still out though :)
