Remember Nintendo's creator program, and how limiting it is for people involved? It's backwards as all hell and no one else does it.

They're way behind on listening to their fans and freaking releasing a new Star Fox game, for god sake.

Honestly, not too much behind on anything really. Sure, the hardware on most of their home consoles is a bit limited, and their online servers are pretty bad, but honestly, their competition isn't great. All they do is churn out ports of games that are way better on PC (in every possible way), and make you f***ing PAY to play their games online. 

Basically, Nintendo consoles may not have great hardware, but that's more than made up for in having actual exclusives that aren't awful (Destiny, Sunset Overdrive...).

No, not really. Sony and Microsoft don't care about the people playing their consoles whatsoever. At least Nintendo sort of kind of cares about the people who play their consoles and give the people what they want... rarely... Still actually ahead of their competition, though.

Also, they did make a new Star Fox game a couple of years ago for the Wii U. And it SUCKED like 99% of the rest of the library (Sm4sh is of course one of the exceptions).
