it saddens me to see it relatevly abbandoned and while many still do pony fan-art they just don't post it here anymore i believe a contest would help rekindle it,,it seems like there hasn't been one since 2015
i understand it could be demanding personel-wise but i just wanted to share my thoughts

I completely agree with you. I did set up the foundation for a monthly contest back then and there has been some talk with @Shadow Beam on how we can return to this. I'm all about events and community engagement. 

My general throughts had to do with monthly small contests with badges or awards given out, with a big contest every six months with a legitimate prize.
