I guess it goes under movies and tv, right?

So apparently, people don't like the new Youtube set-up... well, some of us do, so I'm making a club-like group-thing for those who like the new Youtube set-up! :D

If you like it and aren't faking liking it, welcome to the jungle the club! :D

I for one don't like it that much, but I've grown used to it. I will still forever miss that infinitely editable older layout, though. :(

It's ironic how I fall just to get back up again...

YouTube change so much during these last few years I wish there where other sites similar to YouTube that I can go to. But I haven't found any that can compare to YouTube yet. But yea I don't like the new layout at all I mostly prefer the old cause it was so much easier to navigate.

GUYS.

THIS IS A TOPIC FOR THOSE WHO LIKE IT, NOT FOR THOSE WHO ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CHANGES.

Both options are worthy of opinions and recognition.

I.E, discussion, the point of having a forum.

Making another topic for discussing the changes as an overall topic would, I presume, get merged to this one, regardless.

Allow discussion to happen, don't ostracise opinions.

Personally, I find recent changes sub-par as they are counter-intuitive. I need to press two hyperlinks to access the content I subbed for in the first place that previously was not hidden under bot filters.

I read and understood.

Therefore the post. Assigning rules to topic is bit odd, as a forum is supposed to be a place for free opinions as long as they do not harm others mentally or break the rules of the forum.

But as far as I can see, topic is YouTube and the new system.

Just limiting it to the liking of an very limited thing is a dead fallow-slave of an topic to have.

Especially as Google has mentioned a reform to happen in a few weeks/months due to large scale dislike from users.

Not all bad tho, it IS visually and aesthetically more pleasing even improving in some regards as far as usability goes.

But mainly it just buried content for no raisins because non-optimized bot filtered my already filtered content unless I pressed a hyperlink.

Fine. Have it your way. *Insert Burger King theme here*

And that last bit... you're mad because the computers filtered already filtered content?

I have yet to have a problem with any changes to the layout on YouTube, I love them each as much as the last.

Change is good. I wish people would stop being afraid of it... :/

Not really "mad" as it were.

I already browsed tens of thousands of channels to have 30 subs after six-seven years of active usage and I use YT about 5-4 hour (or even more at times) a day.

To have some algorithm filter that already exclusive content base is not all it's cracked out to be for me.

Never mind that all my subs have made remarks about this and that about recent changes effing up content and messing up upload schedules.

And that directly affects me as my content is affected.

Yes, one could say I'm pre-disposed to disliking it based on my experiences. I do believe Internet calls it being "mad".

I imagine that to a "casual (One that will only search for content) user" it's better as it is streamlined and more pleasing to the eyes.

Yeah, I'm that casual user. I search for stuff based off of what I have found, and occasionally upload a vlog/video or two, but that's it for me... I don't comment/like much, even if I really like it.

No worries... I now get what you mean. ;)

I'm definitely not a casual user. I also used to use youtube around 5 hours a day (not SO much anymore), and I have to say, there ARE some very convenient thing that the tube got rid of, but I also think there were some nice additions, other than athstetic appeal. For example, I do like the new homepage (when logged in), as I find it's a lot more organized. But I don't like how recently you can only look at a couple uploads at a time, so you have to go back to the cluttered page that shows you what all you subs liked, favourited, added to a playlist etc, just to see a little further back :/

All in all, I think people blow it out of proportion. Youtube is definitely still the best video site on the internet in my opinion. :)

LOL what about vimeo, Veoh, etc.?

There is a large difference.

YT is easily accessible and offers Google bot for search.

Everything else pales in comparison to the ease of use and widespread use.

Safe to say it has monopoly.
