Splashee 28,564 April 5, 2020 Share April 5, 2020 Traditionally she is more British than feminine, I think. (Example) Like, she is more about drinking tea than putting on lipstick?
EpicEnergy 23,219 July 11, 2020 Share July 11, 2020 I would say she's one of the most traditionally feminine mares. *totally not up to any shenanigans*
Ixrec 86 July 11, 2020 Share July 11, 2020 Another ambiguity worth pointing out is that we're all assuming "traditionally feminine" is defined by our modern human world, especially relative to our human past. But it's not at all clear that Equestria has those same gender norms, or that they had different ones in the recent past they might refer to as "traditional". AFAIK the closest we've gotten to addressing this question explicitly in-universe is the few times dragons referred to dresses and tea parties and such as "cute pony things" (esp. Smoulder in What Lies Beneath), and Ogres & Oubliettes being not-so-secretly a guy's night thing. (RD being embarrassed about liking spa treatments may be misinterpreted as a gender-related thing, but given the other things she is and isn't embarrassed about, that's far more likely to be a coolness thing) More implicitly, only stallions wear suits and only mares wear dresses, so human-like clothing norms probably apply (except the nudity taboo ofc). On the other hand, there's never been any indication that anypony considers it surprising or noteworthy that a mare can rule the country or lead the Wonderbolts or be a scholarly genius or a warrior or whatever, so those biases are probably absent. For every other human double standard I can think of, we just don't have a big enough sample size to judge (e.g. the bits of Sweetie Belle's book of fairy tales we heard isn't enough to pass judgement on all Equestrian literature). So even after all that overthinking, we still end up at the obvious "Rarity because even in Equestria dresses are feminine and Rarity's super into dresses." The Kaeya Simp 13,989 July 11, 2020 Share July 11, 2020 I would say that Rarity is designed as a "traditionally feminine" character, mostly with a sort of view on a stereotype of "Traditional English style" of "traditional femininity"

Splashee 28,564 July 11, 2020 Share July 11, 2020 I think Pinkie Pie is. She's even a mother by now!
ExplosionMare 18,065 July 12, 2020 Share July 12, 2020 I think Pinkie is a little more feminine since she loves pink, giggles a lot, and just in general likes a lot of cute and girly things. 1 Boom!
Savy 5,079 July 16, 2020 Share July 16, 2020 Rarity is definitely up there as being one of the most feminine! Along with Sassy Saddles and a few others.
