gaming Pokemon- Fairy dual types

For any fans of the Pokemon franchise and their games, you'd know that the latest type to be introduced was the fairy type, some years back. It has been a fan favorite type for many since then (Sylveon is THE BEST fairy type). and has rustled up quite a few new Pokemon to put into this new type category. However.....when it comes to dual type faeries....honestly, the lineup is a bit lackluster, imo. If we pull from irl lore of fae folk, a lot of them were playful or downright mean-spirited tricksters or sadists. Personally, I'd love to see more variety when it comes to dual type fairy/ dark type Pokemon, to reflect this. Not all faeries are cut and innocent, and again- they certainly didn't start off as sweet little Tinkerbells. Having a Fairy/ Dark type (or a few of them) would be prefect for the Fairy class.

 

But what do you guys think?

Absolutely!  I would LOVE to see a Dark/Fairy dual typing! In fact, I made a stat line and a learnset for a special attacker with that typing myself.

 

It would be a great defensive typing, considering the TWO immunities (Psychic and Dragon) as well as covering up ALL of Dark Type's weaknesses with a resistance. Also it would be a pretty good offensive combination, and the STAB damage potential is pretty good. You've got moves like Knock Off, Play Rough, Crunch, and Sucker Punch physically as well as special moves like Moonblast, Dark Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, and Sparkly Swirl. Pretty nice idea I think... I didn't count what would be introduced the next generation either, move-wise

I'm sure more will be revealed in the next Pokemon games. Also, I love the fact that Primarina is a dual water and fairy type.

I absolutely agree! They do have good concepts for fairy dual type such as Mimikyu (Ghost-Fairy) that is actually my favorite. I would like to see a Fairy/Poison type as well like some sort of Pokemon with cursed or witch motif that is not a Ghost or Psychic.

There are some dual type combinations that we've yet to see so the chances of them being used in Sword and Shield are pretty good.
