Munchlax barged into the room. He panted for a little while then realized that the rescue team had already been made. "I was gonn ajoin a rescue squad but it looks like your all finished already." he said, actually feeling quite sad that he was too late. "I'll just go back home, unless there are any open spots left," he said with his head down.

"Wait, Munchlax Treekco here is wanting to start a squad. Maybe you can join him, for the time being." Samurott said. "As for you Team Hope you must prove you self before you are an official team." Samurott explained. "Go to the Tiny Woods and find Igglybuff. Her Sister Jigglypuff just told us about her disappearance but we where too...busy with other matters. Find her and you'll be added to the list of official teams." "Alright sound easy enough" Tepig said. "You ready guys?"

[once the other members of Teams 2 and 3 post then you'll join them but work together now so we can move along]

Chikorita nodded and smiled "Ready when you are!" She then nodded and Treeco and Muchlax "Don't worry they'll be someone for you"

Charmander sat staring at the sky. He longed to be up there, to find his place among the clouds. Yet, he did not receive his wings yet. Another day, bound to earth as a charmander.

Charmander spent his days basking on a rock he called home. There wasn't much to do where he lived, anything interesting was a seldom occurrence. But then he remembered that old ad he saw. what was it? Some adventure guild? Led by his optimism, he decided to check this place out. With a masquerade of bravery, he approached the door that stood in front of the guild...

Shinx yawned as the first rays of dawn nodded her awake. "Wha...?" She spent a second or two gathering her thoughts as she struggled to resist the lure of falling back asleep.

Today was an important day. But what was it that she was supposed to do?

Oh, right. Today's the day they start recruiting for new rescue teams. When did that Wingull say they'd begin? At 10?

Shinx's eyes travelled to the clock perched on her bedside. The display read 11:30.

"Oh no, I'm late!" She tumbled hastily out of his bed and scrambled for the door in record time, not bothering to grab an apple for her breakfast on the way out.

 

Fast as she was, the trip to Samurott's guild still took quite a bit of time. Shinx wasn't surprised that it was almost noon by the time she skidded to a halt in front of the guild entrance, as she stepped gingerly on the grating. This part had always freaked hier out-

 

"Intruder Alert!" yelled a voice from beneath the grating, causing her to stumble in surprise and land facedown on the grating. Irritated, she picked himself back up as the voice declared, "State your business!"

 

"I'm here because I heard this guild was taking new members," groaned Shinx, clearing her sore head.

 

"Wow, you're late. Oh well, go ahead," the voice from beneath the grating quipped, as the guild entrance portcullis was raised with a grinding creak.

 

Shinx awkwardly walked into the guild and climbed down the ladder into the second floor, surprised at the crowd of recruits-so many that they that blocked her path-as she emerged. She attempted jumping up a few times in order to see over them.

"Hiya, am I too late?" she asked as she jumped, trying to make herself heard over the clamor of the other Pokemon.

"Ok well lets go" Tepig said as he walked out of Samurott's quarters.

 

"Hello there" Samurott said to Shinx and Charmader. "How may I help you?" he asked even though he knew the answer.

"Well, I was thinking of being in a rescue team," Shinx piped up, happy that she had been heard over the crowd of Pokemon. "I'll do my best, I promise, if you'll just give me a chance!" she added, crossing her tail tightly as she prayed.

Charmander stood next to Shinx, not knowing what to say. Charmander was not one for words, so he stood there in thought.

"I... um... would like to.. help out with things?"

Dang! Why did I say that?! No I'll never be recruited!

Munchlax looked at the two newest Pokemon, Charmander and Shinx. He had to admit, both seemed afraid and awkward but...he felt some kind of connection with them. He approached the two and said "Hey, I'm Munchlax. I need two more Pokemon for my team, wanna join? I mean if you don't want to thay's fine but I think we'll all be great friends." He quickly realized that what je said made him sound like some sappy social Butterfree who was trying to make friends. He hoped that they didn't think that he was too nice to be a leader or something, he could lead the team (if he was determined). He then quickly announced "I'll be in the mess hall for a bit if you need me. Or more than a bit, for a while. Yeah, just come down to the mess hall amytime and I'll be there." He licked his lips and speedwalked out the door.

"I think you three would make an excellent team" Samurott said to Charmander, Shinx, and Munchlax.

 

While this was going on Tepig was out with Chikorita and Archen. "I think we should head to Treasure Town before we go. Just in case we get poisoned or something." Tepig then went to Kecleon's Store and buys Pecha Scarfs for everyone as well has various berries. "Ok is there anything else you two wanna do before we go?

Chikorita paused and shook her head. "No i don't think so" She said quietly. She still wasn't out of her shell yet but she got her self ready. She then started to wonder if she'd be the 3rd wheel the one that wasn't strong enough to keep up. She then looked at Archen "Right I’m ready"

"Alright then lets go" Tepig said energetically. After awhile they got to the Tiny Woods. "Hmm doesn't seem so dangerous. Finding Igglybuff should be a snap." Tepig said.

Shinx blinked and looked after the fast-running Munchlax. Then she turned back to The Samurott in time to hear him declare that they'd make a good rescue team.

 

"Sounds good to me," she said enthusiastically, waiting for Charmander to say something.

Charmander glanced at Shinx.

Everyone here looks so... different! What's with these people? I've never seen a pokemon like Shinx before...

"If you say so..." replied Charmander to Samurott. Wait... did Samurott already leave? Was Charmander thinking for THAT long? He looked around. Charmander blushed as he saw Shinx staring at him, a confused look on her face.

Munchlax peeped his head through the door. "Welcome to the team you two. No, I was NOT hiding behind the door this whole time if that's what your wondering." he said. He waddled out to the middle of Charmander and Shinx. He munched on some cake and said "so, how about out name? And our leader? Ooooh and we should have a motto, those are cool," he said. "I could be the leader, if no-one else wants to be. Honestly, I want to be but what do you guys think?" he said. Wow he talked alot when he was hungry and excited.

What?! Leader?!

Charmander glanced at his other team members. This was the perfect time for him to show just how brave he was.

"I volunteer!" he proclaimed. He quickly regretted that.

"Alright that's fine unless someone else wants to do it." Samurott told them.

 

Team Hope had been wondering around for quite awhile with no luck in finding Igglypuff. "Uhhg I don;t know guys im getting kinda hungry and this Iggypuff is nowhere to be found." just then a pidgey came across them. ~Hey maybe this guy knows~ thought Tepig. "Hey you, have you seen a Igg-" "AHH GET AWAY!!" the pidgey said running. "Umm what?" asked Tepig confused. "Hey did you scare my son?" asked a very angry Pidgeot. "Oh n-no he just ran off wh-" the Pidgeot cut him off "I don't believe you. You'll have to pay for scaring him so bad." the Pidgeot then rushes towards the trio to attack.

Scraggy fidgeted in bed. She felt a constant poking on her side, and was almost conscious enough to hear a voice. Hey! Little sis! It's time to get up! You told me you wanted this opportunity so bad... Scraggy flinched once more, then sprung out of bed and looked at her older brother, Scrafty. "Oh, right..." She never thought this day would come. She glanced at her calendar, covered in the several X's of past days, leading up to the big date circled, Go to the guild! She slowly made her way to her coat rack to grab the one object hanging from it: her shoulder bag, with a silver "S" embroidered on the front. Scraggy looked at her brother, but couldn't manage to lift her head high enough to look him in the face. Scrafty lowered a paw and lifted up her chin.

 

"Look, sis, I know you're scared. I was scared, when I wanted to be an explorer, too. But you know you can do it. Mom and dad would be proud of you." Scrafty gave her a hug, handed her an apple, and sent her out.

 

Scraggy nervously stumbled up the steps, and bravely stood at the gate, unsure what was to happen next.

"O-okay." replied Munchlax, half trying to hide his disapointment, half trying to show it"I say we settle the rest over some lunch," called Munchlax from over his shoulder as he walked away.

Archen quickly dodged the Pidgeot and used Quick Attack.

Scraggy nearly leaped out of her rubbery skin, then pulled it up to her face. "Um... y-yes!" She pulled it back down. "I want to be on a rescue team...."

"Go talk to Samurott hopefully someone is left." Drilbur siad.

 

"Munchlalx do you want to be the leader as well?" Samurott asked. He could tell he was disappointed.

 

"CRAAH" the Pidgeot screeched as it recovered and used Wing Attack. "Eat this!" Tepig said as he hit the bird Pokemon with Ember.

Archen quickly recovered and used Wing Attack as well.

OOC: (Can you specify who the Pidgeot is attacking? It would make it a bit less confusing, thanks ^^)
