Emailing hasbro

So, I sent an email to Hasbro about Rarity not coming with Opalescence. It took a couple days but they did actually respond to me, and it sounded kind of generic. Not that I'm mad at the employee who answered me, I'm sure they need to stick to some sort of script of course! But still...

"Hi Dylan,

Thank you for contacting Hasbro Customer Service. I appreciate your interest!

Although we manufacture many quality products, Hasbro Inc. does not manufacture a My Little Pony Rarity that includes Opalescence.

Again, we thank you for your interest and hope that you and your family will enjoy our many products for years to come."

So... I guess they don't have one at all! I thought there might be a different figure or something, but does anypomy else think that's ridiculous?! I mean, they did change the box cover to mage the current generation ponies :(

Sometimes I wonder if Hasbro even watches the show at all. If they do, then they certainly don't care about authenticity. They just pick whatever they think little girls would want more. I don't remember Celestia being pink or Spike walking on four legs.

This is why I don't pay attention to the toys. I just stick with the show and fan community.

The truth is they care very little about the authenticity of the merchandise...it doesn't bother them as long as they are filling up Toys R Us and making money.

But tis okay... you can have that name. I prefer my aliases.

I remember when I was younger and everything online, in school, and basically everywhere was about protecting your identity. But With social networking sites, people don't seem to care as much. I could list my name on a forum for Facebook and not be worried. :D

Well, I've seen Spike stand on four legs once. But that's not how he walks, nor stands for most of the time; he's too proud, he likes to stand tall.

Until you information was used without permission and totally screwed you over? But that only seems to happen to women :( ... And you would be the one to call out hasbro, but at least they got most of the ponies right! right? To us they're replicas and collectables and were mad cuz they're not accurate, bu to a kid its just a toy..

I don't know, I guess you would expect something like this to happen, the whole MLP show is essentially an advertisement of the whole franchise, the people would certainly care more about money, why doesn't anyone expect this, the MLP is first and foremost a toy for young girls, thats where they make most money.,. however if they did accommodate for people like us, it would only rise in sales...

I don't use aliases to "protect my identity" or for Trolling Anonymity. I will openly state my name (Dylan Yocca) I just find my real identity boring!

I'm not really into the merch, but I have to agree with Flare in saying that it doesn't surprise me at all that Hasbro merely cares about sales and not about the actual product. I also remember reading somewhere that Hasbro made minor adjustments to some of Faust's original setting designs for the show in order to make more sellable playsets, so it only seems fitting that they only care about the bottom line.
