news Major Chlorine Shortage.

So has anyone heard the news recently about a major chlorine shortage? I just found that out when my grandpa had found out. The shortage is due to a fire at a factory in Louisiana that happened last august during hurricane Laura. This is causing Chlorine prices to go sky high. This may impact our summer plans. From what I have a feeling of, some pools and water parks might have to close early this season if they can't get any more chlorine to put in the water. And some may not open at all. Most of them weren't open at all last year due to covid. Water Country USA for example was one of them. I can't live without a swimming pool. It gets hot in our house especially in July. Whenever it gets hot in our house during the summer months, I usually get in my pool and cool off. I sure hope we can get all the Chlorine we need and I hope we don't run out of it either. Thank goodness we got plenty of pump filters. Does anybody else set up above ground pools ( whether ring or metal frame ) during the summer? How do you feel about the shortage?

I've heard of treating pool water with ozone. I don't know much about it. Supposedly it's better because it's not a harsh chemical. Maybe that's more expensive...

My family has a pool, we were lucky to get a little bit of chlorine, which should last us through the summer.

Ok So yesterday, I went to a special pool store and bought a big bucket of blue chlorine worth $120. I sure hope that big bucket of chlorine will last through the whole summer, considering how expensive it is. The people at that store said they wouldn't run out of chlorine because they get theirs from another source. The source the stores get it from is at the factory that caught on fire.

It seems like every time we set up our pool, the summer becomes so busy that we can't use it and when we don't, the opposite.

Don't panic on chlorine shortage.... Only the rich would... It'll just make cleaning bathrooms harder....

Soft Scrub to clean our bathrooms depends heavily on chlorine  Can you imagine the machinery pools use for that stuff?
