Sounds like Make Your Mark will be more serialized than FiM. Make sense, since it's a Netflix show.

Color me curious! I'm not terribly convinced it's gonna be an adventure show as I would envision (faraway lands, ruins, different species, etc.) but I could be wrong. I think slice of life should be a little more balanced since G4 kinda ran that into the ground a tad.

I would prefer a more slice of life show for G5, TBH. FiM's "epic" premier and finale stories all started to feel the same to me after a while.

I had a feeling that this would be the case.  So it's nice to see it be confirmed.  What I find more interesting is how it mentions that it will consist of a combination of 44 minute specials and half hour episodes.  While at this point we knew that season 1 of Make Your Mark would have 2 44 minute specials, I'm wondering if this is just describing the two we already know about, or if it means that future seasons will consist of a combination of 44 minute specials and 22 minute episodes as well.

An adventure styled show would make for an interesting change of pace but like some others have said, I can't see it being the case for the entirety of the run. There's bound to be some slice-of-life stories thrown in for good measure otherwise we'd get no funny shenanigans and a lack of character development.

Make Your Mark is all about adventure = follow five normies as they live, work, and play together in Maretime Bay. Yawn.

 

P.S: Tell Your Tale looks less funny than an airport sandwich of comparable quality.
