But don’t do it in Scratch! Do it in Turbowarp! This project is not gonna run in Scratch. You need to open Turbowarp and follow the steps.

Instructions:

 

Now you can build your own levels in MSSG! MSSG stands for “The Mission of Saving Starlight Glimmer”.

In order to build your level, you have to switch between Editor Mode and Platformer Mode. Press E to switch between the two modes.

 

Editor mode:

– use arrow keys or WASD to scroll the level;

– press T to set the Scroll X and Scroll Y values to specific numbers and teleport the camera to a specific point in the level;

– press space to open and close the tiles menu;

– use mouse to place and delete tiles, and drag the player to the spawn point;

– hover your mouse over an object and press Q to customize that object; keys, doors, slime, enemies and moving platforms count as objects;

– press enter to see your level code; triple-click it, press CTRL + C and paste the code in a notepad in your computer or share it in the forums;

– press L to load a level code that was saved earlier.

 

Platformer mode:

– use arrow keys or WASD to move;

– jump on platforms, collect diamonds and 1-up hearts, avoid enemies and try to reach the level exit;

– press R to restart if you are stuck.

 

Note: This game is not mobile friendly. You can only play it on PC.

 

But before you start building a level, please make sure to also watch this video, where I explain in greater detail how you’re supposed to build a level:

 

 

If your level is finished, press enter, triple-click the code, press CTRL + C and paste the code in a notepad in your computer or share it in this thread. Remember to triple-click, this is very important!

I will play all levels that you, guys, create. And if this game gets a lot of level codes, who knows? Maybe I will upload your levels on YouTube! Just make sure that you also provide wether you want me to upload your level on YouTube or not. You will also be credited.

Make sure that you also play some of the levels shared online by other people. To load a level code, all you have to do is select the code, copy it, open the game, press L, paste the code there and press enter.

This game took me months of hard work! I did it all by myself, without any help or anything, so I hope you, guys, will appreciate my hard work. But making this game was also a lot of fun, which is all that matters!
