Personally at first when the pony races were separated and Equestria had fallen and everypony hated each other I didn't like where Hasbro was going with the story. But now that as seen in Make Your Mark the pony races have reunited and Opaline has been defeated I have high hopes that this generation might be good. Although since I like everything MLP I would still enjoy it even if it WASN'T good. But anyway, yeah, I'm glad that Sunny helped to make everything right. I admit when I first saw the A New Generation movie I didn't like any of the new characters, and especially didn't like that they were replacements for my favorite characters from G4, but now I've grown to love them all, and Spike is confirmed to still be alive and that means Twilight is probably alive too.

I like G5 if I turned my adult brain off and watched with my kid brain on (I'm someone who regresses) watching it and getting confused by the writing and narrative as my adult brain was on was unpleasant but my kid brain was fully pleased except for when there were some conflicts of course. 

I'm upset that they learned how to make a good story from g4 and didn't apply it to g5 and split it up I to two shows that constantly contradict each other. [ When you're supposed to watch both for the full story it doesn't help at all] As well as the fact they wouldn't explain things that needed to be explain as to why a character was doing something. 

If you only watched one show then you wouldn't understand what the references are and you're left out of the loop of the story.

I've never related to this sentiment, I've always been able to follow everything that's been going on in G5 with no issue. MLP has never had really complex plots.

I think the issue is mostly the going back and forth between the two shows tbh. A lot of people are complaining about that. It's true it's not really all that complex it's just following and the contradicting plot points 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Demonstrably false. Wild Manes' views don't match TYT's views at all (only the first episode has "blown up" and the subsequent four episodes don't even come close to matching the views of the latest TYT episode that's not even a week old) and even the comment sections of the past three TYT episodes on Equestria Daily are notably bigger than the comment sections of the past three Wild Manes episodes.

It is ok, personally I found the villain lackluster but most G4 villains were kinda lackluster anyway.

 

Honestly what I miss most is Daniel Ingram. I think his music is what this show misses most.

There was information recently that G5 will be cancelled (the 3D series is already cancelled, and the 2D series will soon be cancelled as well). In general, that's what was required to be proven. A clear failure, all that's left is to wait for the failure to be acknowledged

As far as I'm concerned, they can end G5 whenever they want... Hasbro will hardly ever be able to make an MLP comeback like what we've seen. It is absolutely impossible.

I'm completely "stuck" in my own world, where G4 hasn't even finished. (and I wish it were so)

Even though I know it's over and it can never be like it was when it was new and shiny.

Nothing was confirmed, it's just rumours, and I brought some evidence that it could be fake, you shouldn't be spreading those things as they were already a fact, and again, Mym wasn't cancelled, we already discussed that, it's not a personal thought.

And while I stand by everything I said, it is possible you're right and, by itself, G5 is an average kids show. Perhaps no worse then the majority of stuff they peddle to kids.

But the thing about Friendship Is Magic is that it was above average. They made made a real effort for quality, something that few studios do these days. They cared more then making money and selling toys, which is amazing considering the original show was conceived to literally make money and sell toys.

Perhaps the problem with G5 is, because G4 was so great and G5 was a direct continuation, it had some big horseshoes to fill. But at first it seamed like it could fill them. A New Generation was a better movie then the G4 movie, and the questions it brought up would have been great material for story arcs. But after raising our hopes it let us down. And people are at their lowest point, not when they have been down for a long time, but had their hopes lifted then brought down again.

I still think it was a bad show but maybe it would have worked better if it had been a straight reboot. In some ways, it might as well have been.

I wouldn't call G5 bad, but rather, a completely wasted potential due to the plot being completely inconsistent. And Hasbro doesn't seem to understand that trying to mix up G4 with G5 is simply a bad combo. Yes, the G5 movie was okay, the first few episodes of the MLP G5 was okay... then it just went downhill from here on out. While G4 shone globally with popularity, G5 was basically the mark of the downfall for MLP as a whole. And for Hasbro to completely embrace CGI after the mostly successful A New Generation movie just feels incredibly out of place. Yes, there was Tell Your Tale, but it doesn't have the same flow compared to G4. If any, TYT just feels rather rushed and I tried to get myself interested in watching TYT, but it simply wasn't there.

As for MYM? Yeah... they should've stuck with the same G4 animation altogether, but also have a much more believable plot. Unfortunately, Hasbro blew it big time. Like, if they want to make a continuity by mixing G4 with G5, it needs to be done right. Unfortunately, it just felt far too out of place as a whole. Instead of the fully-grown Alicorn Twilight from the final episde, we got what appeared to be a regular old Twilight put in (though I think she was also a Unicorn in A New Generation movie for some strange reason, and along with the other Mane Six looking younger instead of older, though I guess that was part of Sunny Starscout's flashback?); and instead of a fully-grown, bulky Spike, we instead got large, quadrupedal dragon that looks like a fully-grown Spyro for some reason, and never mentions Twilight and his friends at all (or he did, but its very difficult to tell so, correct me if I'm wrong), along with other dragons who are starkly different from other dragons in G4. Not sure what was Hasbro thinking, but they sure as hell were not thinking, and are certainly not doing their fanbase any favors.

Now, I don't like to say that both MYM and TVT is officially ending, but with the ongoing downtrend in viewership coupled with the decline of overall ratings, I'm afraid it's inevitable at this point. Unless Hasbro can seriously rethink of their creative differences and give us what we really want, it'll be already too late at this point.

Yes, and I still won't change what I said, regardless of it being true, you still shared that information as being a fact and absolute truth before it was officially confirmed, also, not even the rumors said that G5 is going to end, both the rumors and the official announcement only say that TyT was going to end, and shared that info as proof for "failure of G5", and you still kept saying that Make Your Mark was cancelled, when in reality it wasn't, multiple people here told you that multiple times here

It's okay if you hate G5, if you think its shit, a dumpster fire that shouldn't exist and a crime against G4 blah blah blah, if you want to say how its a failure for you and that you think that everything was cancelled, go on, but you shouldn't be spreading misinformation, split your feelings from the actual reality, and not even me, not even you even know if 60% of rumors are even true, I can guarantee it, I already told you twice, this will be the last time, not worth my effort anymore, if you still want to continue doing it, then feel free, but don't think that another person won't show up to contradict you.
