StarHeart333 1,763 January 4 Share January 4 In front of you are two switches one labeled love and the other switch labeled money. If you push the love switch tomorrow morning when you wake up you will be married to your waifu/husbando and they will love you every bit as you love them. However your life will be in a simple town and you have little in the way of money. You are NOT poor by any means it's simply that the town you live in has little need for it. That is food, supplies etc are in such high abundance very little money is needed and luxurious items like TV are almost unknown there. Simple life of love and harmony (like MLP pretty much) On the you push the switch for money and you get 3 billion dollars added to your bank account. However your waifu/husbando is forever erased from existence (including their families). Example Fluttershy is your waifu. You pick love you live with her in her cottage. On the flip side you hit money the mane six becomes the mane five, there is no element of kindness, zephyr breeze no longer exists and no Brony except just you ever heard of this so called "Fluttershy."

That makes my choice easy. Well that and the fact that I do not really have a "waifu". So yeah, give me the money. With that much money, I could invest it and have a great life from passive income, not having to work for money anymore. I could do stuff for fun, maybe volunteering at some heritage railway etc.

I mean, let's say I find a "waifu" watching some show. She's just fictional, a collection of pixels. After my choice, I guess the show would disappear with the character - I don't think it would be a big deal. Maybe I'm just not attached to TV shows? There are some TV shows I really like, but if they disappeared tomorrow, I would be a bit sad that I can't rewatch it again, but I don't think it would that bad.

True, the other choice does make them real though of course.

Yeah, bus basically the other choice means randomly (since I don't think I have a waifu), if I ever find a character I consider to be my waifu, I just lose all of my money and things and get transported to some random place. Honestly, if you said that was going to happen to me, I would probably stop watching all fictional media for the fear of losing everything and being transported to a random location, presumably away from my friends etc.
StarHeart333 1,763 January 4 Author Share January 4 Follow question guys same exact question as before it won't be about your waifu but about your soul mate. Would you still choose money or choose the soul mate?
Clawdeen 12,189 January 4 Share January 4 In this case I'd go with the soulmate/love. *On Wednesdays We Wear Pink And Betray The Organization*

I don't know if I have someone like that, but killing a real person is worse than erasing a fictional character (though I would not go to prison for it). Still, losing my stuff would be awful, so, I guess in this case "the only winning move is not to play".
Snow 6,936 October 3 Share October 3 Kind of a tough one, I don't think I resonate with the idea of just waking up with "the one" I think it would be nicer to meet someone and build a bond, I've been single a while and I live my life in such a way that does not account for a relationship/partner, so a lot of changed would need to happen way too quickly. Lots of money sure would be dandy though, there is a lot I'd like to do and buy and I might just be fortunate enough to find love along the way, though I think I'd blow or keep such wealth a secret to stay off the radar of certain types. 1 beans
Usual Crypty 4,678 October 3 Share October 3 I would chose money. I don't seek easy ways in love and want to get my happiness the natural way and ready to struggle and fight for it if I should. In the other hoof, magic money isn't something I would regret or feel guilty ^•^ 1
Winter Storm 236 October 5 Share October 5 Honestly, I don't know if I've felt what I would really consider "love" beyond that which I have for my pony "waifu", and she, despite my everything I wish and desire, is probably fictional even in some other universe. I don't know if I could really feel "love" to someone who doesn't share my same sort of love on pony. I have other hobbies of course, but pony is one I have sort of connection with that really isn't like the rest. Everything else is kind of "academic" if I were to describe it. But with MLP stuff there is something that speaks to much more base emotions. Of course, I feel some sense of duty and responsibility to my immediately family, but there has long been some part of me that wishes I could leave that all behind. I know in many ways my brain is all broken and confused, but I don't think that is the sort of thing that can be fixed. I can't leave it behind because that would mean giving up on any meaningful romantic relationship to me. So, in short, I guess I would pick "love" if that sort of thing could even be found on this Earth. And for me I think that would be a girl who is as invested into ponies as I am. But that seems so unlikely I can't help but to despair. I honestly don't know what to do with the remainder of my life besides look for that ideal, despite however hopeless it is. It's a real mess of a situation and only at certain times like this I feel like I can explain it to anyone. Sorry if I brought down anyone's mood with these thoughts. It's just rare that I get a sense of mental clarity where I feel I can make sense of my confused mind.

Dreambiscuit 9,575 October 9 Share October 9 Interesting way to frame the question. Love or money on their own, without any peripheral additives or preservatives, is a challenging choice to make. But the aspect of where you live, how you live and the very existence of the one you’d love puts a crazy spin on it. If anyone had 3 billion dollars, I guarantee they’d have no difficulty finding company, or even their true soul mate, in which case I’d take the money and all the happiness it can buy. Living in a rural setting with very little need or want is attractive in one way but unattractive in another. I’ve lived in a simple town before and considered it a hellish exile from everything I loved in life. Granted, if I had true love it would make it far more livable, but I’m not so sure a little creative thinking wouldn’t make the choice of money conducive to having the best of both worlds. Okay, this also brings about the question of whether there is one or several potential soul mates for each of us in this world. If one suddenly vanished from existence, would there be others to take their place in a different scenario? I like this question because I recently watched a movie in which people lived in an isolated town with no outside connection. The people were happier without the clutter of worldly living, but they lacked many things I would value as stimulating to the senses. I need the arts, travel and, let’s be honest, synthetic forms of entertainment. So, I’m going to go with the money in the assumption I can use it to find love as well as the other things I value in this world. I’m not in love with money or even luxury to any great degree. But I can’t be a prisoner in a small town. I’ve been there and done that and it nearly destroyed me. 1
