My room is "actual home", bathroom is "privacy zone" and the rest of the house is "the house". I assure you that I am quite creative.

When I was a little kid (we’re talking like 5 or 6) I used to think “the great room” (another name for living room basically) was actually called “the grape room”.

Yes, like the fruit.

I’m not sure why. Besides misunderstanding my parents when they said great room and thinking they were saying grape instead. We also had carpet in there that was kind of similar in color to green grapes so… I dunno. I guess that was enough to convince 5 year old me . Even now “grape room” is the first thing that pops into my mind whenever I hear the words “great room”.

The front entryway is the Airlock. It's a short hall with a stacked washer and drier closet at the end. We keep that open so it blocks the view into the rest of the apartment for privacy, and for the most part blocks one of the cats from touching our gross work gear we remove to not contaminate the rest of our home 

The bathroom used to be my office, but since each cat has their litter boxes and food dishes in them, they're now their rooms.

I call the foyer ‘the entry’ (brilliant!), the living room the ‘therapy zone’ (inspired!) and the bathroom ‘the regrettable bullet’ (umm…)

When I was a kid I lived in 2-room apartments with my parents. So it always were 'this room' and 'that room'. For most cases it was convenient enough. Except when you're on the kitchen, then you could have two 'that rooms'.

My bedroom - The Sanctuary

Main bathroom - Chamber of the Scum-O Bastard Throne (That bathroom is undergoing serious renovations when I get the chance. )

Garden - Everfree Forest (Although I might have to rename that one considering all the work I've been doing out there)

Oh, oh! Since this summer I live in 3-room apartment.

The Living Room - room where we sleep coz there's a big couch.

The Bedroom - we don't sleep there, need to buy a bed first, but there's my working place.

And my favorite - the Room of Requirement - the room for everything else, mostly storage but also gym and guest room.

Our TV/lounge room was referred to as "the dancing room" because my sister use to practice dancing down there and the name stuck, used that name for like 20 years all the way until we moved out
