Yes its cheap but still if you read what a tourist trap is that's what it is. But was it bad not really. But im sure that rainbowdash did and the rest who didn't get the cider.... 

Again being a tourist trap doesnt really have to be bad.

Just being a famous tourist destination can cause you to become a trap on it's own.

Once a tourist destination becomes famous.

You have to control who or what enters.

Price will increase no matter what you do because increase in people will force the establishment to increase alot of stuff like production and employees.

And the more people there are the chances of scammers increase.

 

The intent behind it matters, since the "trap" part of "tourist trap" has a negative connotation.

It's true that there are some tourist traps that are good or fun from a tourist's POV, and it's also true that many tourist destinations will get more expensive due to capitalism, but the point of a tourist trap is to mislead tourists to take advantage of their time and money in a very negative way. They intentionally make an inauthentic experience, whereas a tourist destination is more authentic to an experience that locals are more likely to participate in.

I'm not sure any other way of putting it, really.

No not really. Even if it has a negative conotation doesnt mean it's bad already. What's important is its meaning. And i looked it up it isnt even supposed to be bad...the only reason IT Got bad is because how people use it.

Like a knife... It depends on who wields it.
