Ganondorf8 11,700 April 10 Share April 10 There was one that I would frequent every Sunday from between 1995 and 2000 known as Canyon Meadows Video. I never rented movies from them but rather video games for 24 hours (Renting on Sunday meant returning them the next day which was Monday) and only on a couple of occasion did I fail to return the game on time. Unfortunately, the store was robbed of much of its inventory sometime in 2000 and never recovered from it. This resulted in the store closing down for good which was a real blow. 1
ZiggWheelsManning 13,250 April 10 Share April 10 (edited) In southern Georgia and the good ol' 90s, Video Warehouse and Hollywood Video were these places. The latter had some season 2 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers videos Incredible topic @Snoopy Fan Edited April 10 by ZiggWheelsManning 1 Special thanks to Emerald Heart for the banner! Snoopy Fan 8,170 April 23 Author Share April 23 I remember this Blockbuster I used to go to and it had these big pictures of movie characters on the walls and one of them was Tommy Pickles from Rugrats. I know that he’s technically not a movie character, but still.
Dreambiscuit 11,210 April 23 Share April 23 I remember Blockbuster and Hollywood, as far as chain businesses go, and lots of smaller, independent ones. I like the more obscure ones because they specialized in unusual and rare titles, but I don’t remember what they were called anymore. It’s been a long time. West Coast and Suncoast were great mostly because they had tons of movie collectibles and toys as well as movies. 1
DubWolf 18,550 April 23 Share April 23 Was almost always Blockbuster. Didya know there’s one left? It’s in Bend, Oregon and is mostly just a tourist destination with a lot of memorabilia. I don’t know if there’s actually any video/movie stuff there anymore though, reportedly. 1 1 Sig by Wolf, Handwriting by SparklingSwirls

Megas 28,100 April 26 Share April 26 (edited) My parents never liked Blockbuster so we never went lol When I lived in California, I used to have one near the old Target and one in Albertsons we loved frequented, especially for the Genesis/SNES/N64 games. Unfortunately the one near Target closed and the one in Albertsons phased out games before getting rid of it entirely. I miss rental stores so much Edited April 26 by Megas 1

Pentium100 2,296 April 26 Share April 26 I used a place called "Garsų Pasaulis" (world of sounds) close to my home, there was a time when I rented more than one DVD per day. I recently got a DVD drive on my PC and was able to watch movies on a PC, that was so cool. I probably still have the membership card somewhere. Later I could download movies using emule or bittorrent so I didn't have to go rent them. 1
