What do we know about the Apple parents?

So, I know that we intentionally don't know how Bright Mac and Buttercup/Pear Butter passed, which is fine. But I'd like to collect any information that we do know about their time with their Apple kids before they passed. It seemed like Applejack and Big Mac didn't know anything besides their parents' names in The Perfect Pair, but since we know they passed after Apple Bloom was born, I'm a little surprised Applejack and Big Mac don't seem to say anything about them besides a generic "our parents would be proud". I'm only in season 7 of my rewatch so might be forgetting things from seasons 8-9. Even something like "that was mom's favorite flower" or "dad taught me this" would be nice to see.

Lots of ponies suspect it was the timber wolves, but it would probably make more sense that they would have passed in a natural accident maybe when collecting crops. Some ponies say it might have been a barn fire, which is pretty plausible. Others suggest that Pear Butter could have died during childbirth. For that to happen, I would assume Bright Mac passed shortly before or after of natural causes or an accident.

In the show, there’s no pictures of AJ, Mac, and Bloom with their parents so we can assume they were very young when they died.

As for any canon reasons, there are none :/ AJ or Mac never talk about them, they seem to not know much besides what Granny might have told them
