Hello, my little ponies!

Not so while ago I got interested in Book Club participation. Rules are simple: there's a group of people who's selecting a book to read to discuss it and share emotions from reading later.

I believe it's a nice activity to enrich presence on the forum and strengthen bonds with your friends ^~^ Or maybe to find new friends too ^o^

 I suggest a list of books, not just one ppl can read and talk about.    Due to everyone might not have ableness to said books and we open to things like online books like wattpad or webtoons or a theme idea?

Mmmm, maybe. I might participate sporadically depending on what you read. I don't like having other people dictating my reading too much.

Well, I see it like once in a while we chose some book to read together and it gives us a common topic to discuss ^•^ I think, 3-month period would be nice to enjoy the first book without a rush. 9^9

I'm a serious pony 

I seem to strictly read nonfiction these days but this sounds like a really fun idea so I didn't vote against, happy for the people into fiction books who can participate 

I do agree with Tao that accessibility to material may become an issue if the club is to be successful, is there any way to ensure everyone manages to get ahold of copies they can read? E-book alternatives might be good and cheap for people. From the OP I assume the books chosen will be decided through vote which might help reduce the risk of people getting left out. I'm not opposed to helping people out in getting copies of stuff if it comes down to it so they can just focus on the fun part.

Also while not obviously a major announcement of any kind I do wonder if this poll deserves to be visible in the Announcements for most visibility if staff are ok with this? It sounds like a cool thing for the forum to host so it may be appropriate to do that

Hi, @Raskolnikov! Thank you for your contribution  You're right about every point. This activity is highly experimental and if the first session of the club will happen to be fruitful I'll ask staff to make the thing more official 

@Fluttershutter, what do you mean? This whole topic is about starting the club  Or you're interested if it will be using the forum clubs feature? The idea is still in development and there's several options. Preferably activity of the club shall be visible, easy accessible, and simple. It may be topic in media discussion or part of the Golden Oak Library or even separate forum club.

I think we will make the next move this weekend.
