Western Washington update, still only in the low 50s upper 40s, but a storm is kind of working its way through that I think is separate from the atmospheric river? It was pretty gusty this morning, and there were reports of downed trees in a lot of places. The power went out at work around 1:30PM, appears to have stayed on at home though. About 3:30PM, this wall of rain just hit like a wave. Saw this poor lady get drenched as she got into her car. Had she been 5 seconds faster she would've been fine, but it really came almost out of nowhere. I mean this big scary cloud was closing in, but it was like someone jumped out with a garden hose kind of situation. After about 10 minutes it was off and on regular showers until 8:00PM, and the power came back on around 5:30PM. Worried about more trees coming down and additional water to the flooded areas. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse apparently. Right now all is quiet.

I think this will be my last update. The tomorrow in question was in fact, not worse. We had our 4th frost a few days ago, and everything is still very wet. It's definitely colder out but not by a lot. Rivers are still running pretty high, but every additional weather warning has been met with nothing really. Maybe a White Christmas! Not a chance. Wind Advisory for the area, generally gusty and for less than hour. Another absolute downpour expected, came and went in 10 minutes. Still plenty bad in some places, but right here, wear an extra layer and pull your hood on.

It's winter here in the UK now, was fairly cold and frosty today, temperature pretty much stayed around 0°C throughout the day and is currently -1°C tonight.

I've had some snow though it doesn't last for very long. I'd rather not have snow at all because it makes everything else cold not to mention slippery thanks to the ice. In terms of the temperature, it gets between -2C and -10C before the windchill kicks in.
