general Weird gifts?

With it being Hearth's Warming I pose a question to yall on what was your weirdest gift or story from the holidays? Could be you got it or gifted it,  anything weird you wanna share for the holidays!

Mine: Once we stopped getting Santa gifts, my parents started writing from inside jokes. So we had "From Spider in the mailbox" who got all of our online gifts and "Squirrel in the background" who gifted big presents.

I may have shared this on another topic, but an uncle once got me a Scan2Go Car. Similar to a diecast model, but you could scan it to race kids online. Just learned that the toys are based off of a TV Show when trying to look up the correct name. Anyways, I was obviously not the target age demographic, and there wasn't any nostalgia or joke to be tied to it so I don't know why he picked that out.

That same side of the family also once bought a goat through Heifer International for a village in need. A great charitable thing to do, but surprising a bunch of kids with essentially nothing results in a feeling of disappointment, not goodwill to all men.

I don’t get weird gifts so much as sometimes I will get the traditional “I don’t know what to get you” gift. The random holiday boxed candy’s and such or a candle set. Candles truly be the gift you give someone when you don’t know what to get them during the holidays. (I say that as a person who’s done that.) I already know I’m ending up with bath and body gift set from a relative this year. My aunt was buying me socks yearly that not only were the wrong size (like these look like they’d fit a teen not a grown woman) but weren’t something I’d even wear to begin with. 95% of my shirts are black. The socks I buy for myself are black. When have you ever seen me outside of the house in colorful socks? I got a religious ornament one year and I’m not a Christian. Truly just ask me what I want before you go wasting money. Relatives want to suprise me with things that further showcase how little they know about me despite being “family”. 

I got a pair damaged jeans from my mother today. I told her no socks and she bought me socks anyway. She acknowledged that I said no socks but she liked these ones so she bought them for me. Pink socks for my majority black wardrobe. Great.

I can't remember if this was for me or my sister, but my stepdad's mom got one of us a hat for an infant...we were teenagers at the time.

I read hat for an ant farm at first and was still just as confused the second time reading. thats a weird gift to  get
