Klopp 2,050 December 14, 2011 Share December 14, 2011 (edited) Because Crispy had an idea and I thought it was pretty epic, I've decided I'm going to make this thing. Of course Crispies Badgering certainly was a contributing factor to my ultimately deciding to make this. Basically it's going to look like this, but far more epic due to being tinier and pixellier: Alrighty, It's all finished up and ready to be admired (I hope ) Hope you guys all like it, And I'm never doing anything that complicated ever again... Special thanks to my Best Brony Buddy Fluttershy, for slapping them all together in gif. Since I haven't a clue what I am doing when it comes to animation Edited December 19, 2011 by Klopp

Personally, i don't think it will look that good. its too blocky for a pony gif, and ponies cannot move like that so it always makes me rage when I see these kind of scenes. but I can't wait to see this, i was going to do it but raged quitbefore I started. Are they tutorials for pixel art animation? I be a novice.

Actually I'm using GIMP to make the sprites, and I have no idea how I'm going to slap them all together in the end. I've never done any form of animation before, and don't own any fancy programs to do so with.

Swoop 2,278 December 19, 2011 Share December 19, 2011 Bahaha That's fantastic! I know how long it can take just to make a normal trotting pony, and you generally have a base reference for them! So I can only imagine the amount of time you must have invested to get this one done. The facial expression on AJ is perfect, and the little motion wobbles you added in to accompany the kick are a nice touch too. Kudos to you for making such an awesome pixel gif! Nico 790 December 19, 2011 Share December 19, 2011 (edited) ...and the little motion wobbles you added in to accompany the kick are a nice touch too. That's exactly what I thought, too! I stitched these frames together for Klopp in Photoshop and accidentally moved the picture slightly to the side on a couple of frames and that effect happened. He told me about it and I could have SWORN I fixed it... Still, though, extreme kudos to Klopp for making this thing. I don't think I'd have the patience to make this. Trotting ponies do indeed take a while, and that's even with both a base and practice. All finished, hope you guys like it (It's in the first post for anyone who didn't notice) You did a great job, of course, Klopp! But you should know that already since I've already told you. In case you didn't catch it: You did a great job! I especially like the details you can see in the individual frames, too. And TOM looks fantastic!
