And I hate it when people say there is a “best” anything, video game console, musician, sports team, etc. There really is no “best”, except if there's any numerical statistics involved. I don't believe in a “best” unless if the aforementioned factor is included. Ponies are no different, they're like any other character in a cartoon, people have favorites. I am in this “best pony” thing only for the humor and memetic quality. I have my favorites, and I prefer them over other characters, but I never mean that they're automatically better just because I say so. When I say “best pony”, I only refer to that they're my favorites, not literally the best charcaters in the show because such a concept is ridiculous. And I'd hate to get falsely accused of saying that there literally is a “best pony”, because (s)he doesn't exist, it's the universal preference theory. Saying 'blank' is besy pony is just the fandom's way of saying 'blank' is (posters) favorite pony. It can get out of hand yes, but provided people keep in mind love and tolerate it's honestly a harmless fight between fan love for ponies.
