gaming Game Recommendations?

I just compleatly wipped my laptop and now I wanna put some games on it. It's an HP. Here's teh specs:

 

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2

 

 

System Model: HP Pavilion dv6000 (RN914UA#ABL)

 

BIOS: PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.1

So, what would be some good time wasting games that I could play with these specs?

Rome Total War would probably run quite well on that thing, if you're into that genre of games. Or the Sims 2.

I'd say most PC games made prior to 2005 can run on your computer.

but those were both 2d Rogues and Angband is a game in its lowest form

Team fortress 2 sounds interesting, I might try that. I'll probably try the two games Aureity suggested as well

Team Fortress 2 will probably work reasonably well and it's free.

What PonyEcho suggested: The Binding of Isaac and Angband, those are also really good games.

 

Angband is freely available and will definitely run on your system.

And The Binding of Isaac only costs ~£4.

In that case I'll deffinatly get TYeam Fortress 2 and Angband. Do I need Steam? Because isn't Team Fortress series by Valve?
