No its not, i have the same feeling toward Rarity...nothing sexual, i just wanna hug her so bad and lets be honest... they have great personalities and are not shallow, its quite hard to not love them. I know i cant be togeather with Rarity but i can dream right?

 

Id prefer a special somepony instead of a human. ive written other posts to why it isnt weird.

It may seem strange at first, but once you realise that you're not the only one, it pretty much becomes a normal thing to you.

 

I would be proud to admit I'm actually in love with Applejack, but I also went as far as imagining myself as my OC and we both express our love to each other, and that would probably be just as acceptable.

Not at all, I'll admit that I have crush on Fluttershy and it's the same feeling as in Your case ^^ Many bronies have same "problem" (although it isn't actually a problem at all at least in my opinion as long as You don't loose Your mind because of such crush ). Well I personally don't feel that way about any of the ponies, but I do have my fair share of cartoon crushes, one of them is *ahem* the love of my life when it comes to cartoons.

 

I'm not gonna explain myself here so things don't get too awkward but it's perfectly normal in my opinion. I made a Cartoon Crushes thread here thinking that not many would respond to it, surprisingly MANY have. So you're definitely not alone I felt the same way when I got my first true cartoon crush and my cousins always made fun of me. I almost always reacted emotionally when something happened to him

Not at all anything wrong with it. I'd say I wouldn't mind being Pinkie Pie's boyfriend, but that's because of how well the characters have been made. You aren't likely attracted to the form they are in so much as their personality, but hey, different strokes, I don't judge in that department.

There's nothing wrong with it. A lot of people have had crushes on fictional characters before. I know I've had my fair share of Cartoon Crushes before. A real life example of this that I've seen happen is that my cousin used to be totally obsessed with Minato Namikaze (4th Hokage from Naruto).

People naturally like to think about concepts, is it bad to like the concept of having a lot of money or having your own private island? No, not really. Both of those things for almost all of us are pretty much impossible however the thought is still enchanting.

 

This means the concept of dating Rainbow Dash and being her lover isn't bad. It's just the concept of someone like her that is appealing, and our brains do not switch how they operate when they see reality and fiction.

The love for fictional characters is common in the anime fan scene, a fictional girlfriend is called a "waifu" there. In the brony fandom it is seen quite often too to love those cute huggable ponies. And I am kinda in love with a fictional character, Jaina Solo from the Star Wars expanded universe.^^ I also use to love a character from my own science fiction universe I create now, he is the ruler of the Solar Order interstellar empire and council member of the Intergalactic Star Alliance, something like Celestia. xD Reality is vastly overemphasized nowadays.

am aware of that, our Oc are the image of your ideal being (because you are not going to ponify someone you hate XD) i even draw my Oc than mane six pony trying to make them look as cute as they, in all scenarios posible

Oh man! I was JUST about to start up a thread about marrying/falling in love with ponies. But then I saw this freshly-bumped gem on sugarcube corner... pretty much sums up my thoughts perfectly!

 

I love everypony who's posted in here. Especially the ones who confessed their love. 

 

I really don't think it's weird at all. Nor do I think it's weird that so many people on /a/ have waifu's. I just think it's awesome!!

 

As for me? I'm madly in love with the mane 6, but I'm slow to resolve just one pony that I love the most. Maybe one day that'll change

 

I've had elaborate dreams where I live in Equestria as a pony and hung out with the mane 6. Sometimes revealing my crushes, sometimes not. Regardless, they're some of the best dreams I ever had! ^^
