I've made changes to the portrait after the last recording session as my buggy recording software hiccuped while I was making changes after I felt it was finished enough. Here's the most updated version as of right now:



Also, pretty weird to poke around and see what other MLP pixel art videos I could find. Turns out that most of them are either down-sampled pictures copied onto minecraft and/or minecraft pixel art made at an elementary skill level. Better yet, pixel art videos in general are kind of the same, but at least I can find some decent stuff. =/ Edited August 4, 2012 by Pix3M

Chances are, this site is being buggy. I just tried cheesing through with a post that's too short and it's not working. =/

 

Also, inb4 a certain pixel artist coming along saying something like "fat pixel banding near the highlights on DJPon3's shades"

There are mediums of art that makes fancy motor skills unecessary, and the medium I used pretty much does this. I also don't even think I can draw a perfect circle myself. About drawing perfect circles though, I remember times where I try drawing a perfect circle, and the circle I drew looks pretty circular...

until I looked at it from a different angle. I think this has more to do with having enough practice to you see proportions better.

??? If your mouse-work is good enough to navigate the internet, you have the motor skills needed to do exactly what I did. You just need a good amount of practice, some know-how, and a good amount of inspiration and ambition.
