movies/tv The Dark Knight Rises, my issue [Spoilers ahead]

I went to go see the new Batman movie yesterday, I liked it quite a bit, it was a good way to end the DK trilogy. There were a few things I found a bit off about it.

For those of you who have seen it, you will know what I am talking about when I ask, How did Bruce get back to Gotham from when he got out of the prison? When we see it, it's presumably out in the middle east, but he gets back to gotham (a town that is on absolute lock down) within days. That part confuses me because just saying "He's bruce wayne he has connections" doesn't add up because he's broke, and people think he's dead. I understand that he had to get back to Gotham somehow, but I don't get how he did so. I like how they tied Robin into the story, but his back story seemed a bit off, mostly because I don't know which Robin he is (because his name is just robin...) and it mentions nothing about his circus family dying.(like the first robin, drake) Though I suppose maybe they were going for a different robin origin this time (As Dark Knight was not the same as Detective Comics)

I think the movie didnt have enough Batman. Too much Bruce Wayne.

I enjoy how they got a lot of Bane's character correct. Trained by Ras Al Ghul, broke Batman's back, etc. I was also confused with how Bruce got back into Gotham while it was on lockdown, but I guess they had to do SOMETHING.

Also, I know its the end of the trilogy, but I dont think Batman should have "Died" (I know he didnt really die, but still.)

Yea I had a lot of issues with how he got back in too. My real problem is that batman's costume (at least the one he is wearing in this) should never be shown in day light. It looked intimidating in the other 2 when he stayed in the dark but it just looked silly in the light.

well here are my problem with this movie

Bane was good i enjoyed Bane, until that twist cam along that it was all Talia all along and she was the child who climbed out of the pit... that pissed be off because they just passed Banes story to Talia making bane just some goon hell he doesnt even use venom(which i though the face mask was for pumbing venom into him) but no it to help him breath.

Robin- i wish the they didn't pull that card just call him tim drake and have him become NightWing or hell they should have called him Terry McGuinness that would have been awesome.

for something that was suppose to be soo dark and realistic why is it mostly shot in the day and why such a cartoon idea threaten the city with an nuke whats next hang the bat over a vat of acid.

Bane was kicked for the league of shadows by Ras Al Ghul but still want to do the same thing he did. did they even read up on bane other then he broke the bat which they likely found out by playing arkham city.

timer edit time- think about how muck time was left on the nuke then think about how long his speeches are and in that time he had to fly 600 miles out.

also the god damn nuke so yeah he drops it in the ocean and its all good now, no sea life dead and all that hell all it takes is a strong breeze and all that radiation could be blown towards a city.

overall i thought it was okay but not the best of the trilogy Batman begin gets that award, i believe i would have been a better waist of money for me to get every copy of Night of the Owls (including red hood and the outlaws *shivers* and Batman Earth one again to give away to a Nolanite

last note before i go back to reading my Aqua Man

Screw you DC for making almost all of the New 52 suck and when is the rest of Young Justice coming out

also Avengers was better, way better

Someone pointed out that Wayne had traveled the world for seven years incognito. Even when he was imprisoned during his journey in Batman Begins, the Chinese authorities didn't bother to thoroughly check his identity. Presumably Wayne is more than able to maintain a low profile. Since it took him 19 days to get back to Gotham, he likely stowed away on a ship and worked his way back to Gotham.

well im back with some more issues

the Harvey Dent effect- now we all know that when Harvey dent/two face died batman took the blame so dent could become the white horse and save Gotham so 8 years pass and there has been no criminal activity since (how is that even possible did all the bad guys just get sad the batman killed a guy and they were to scared he would kill them. it just makes no sense.

Batman never quits- this has been what batman was all about since well, the silver age so your telling me that batman fakes his own death to be Bruse Wayne im mean we just went full circle in a single movie from him becoming the bat once more to him becoming bruce wayne. MADNESS

Bane turns to scare crow for help, no mention of the joker i mean Heath Ledger is dead not the joker, hell they go as far to reference killer croc.

and nolanites have the gaul to call this the best of the trilogy :Face Palm: and now the nolanite dumb asses think Noland has everything to do with the man of stee movie when all he has done is chose the director

  • 1 year later...

Well, I still enjoyed the film.

But, honestly I believe that The Dark Knight is the best of the trilogy.

My issues stem from;

-How did Batman escape the blast range of the explosion at the end with precious few seconds remaining before the bomb detonated?

-How does nobody recognize Bruce Wayne at a public cafe, his picture had to be taken by a smart phone at one point and we also have the internet.

-Why didn't Bruce tell Alfred that he was alive and leave him with the soul crushing guilt and feeling that he'd failed to save him?

-Bane doesn't utilize venom.

-Why the Robin tease if there are no future plans for him?
