[Lightning Flicker 101]

Lightning Flicker jumped. She hated it when ponies snuck up on her like that. She was a generally jumpy pony and her talent was fighting. She didn't want to accidentally hurt someone because they snuck up on her by accident.

Bumble hungrily watched as the pony's enjoyed their cake. Her stomach growled at the thought. "Uh, could I have one, I'm starving and that's the actual reason I've come here." She looked from pony to pony, hoping one of them had another cake to spare. "That would be great, I have my mattress and blankets with me, so I'll just sleep on your floor."

Hank smiles "well if you are hungry just come over here" he cuts her a slice and sets it at the table. "Well ill carry your stuff to my house you seem like you need the rest" he glances at Lightning Flicker "i can see you are a fighter i am also a fighter but only when i have to" he gave a warming smile

Pinkie Pie looked at them "Don't worry it's on the house" she said as she looked upstairs "Hey by any chance have you seen Twilight?" she asked hopefully, she was planning on inviting her friends over since being stuck in a boring ol' bakery

Lightning Flicker smiled. "Really? I've never met any other pony with a talent for fighting." She thought of the long story behind her cutie mark. It always made her feel like she needed to practice some more.

Misty happily took the proffered cake slice. "Um, Pinkie Pie is it? Why are you giving away food? Don't you need it?" she asked, before she realized the fluffy maned mare asked her own question. "Twilight lives at the library, right? Purple unicorn? Haven't seen her."

Hank looks at pinkie "no i havent im kind of worried about her" he looks at lighting flicker "i can teach you some moves if you want but it might be hard for you." He smiles as he looks at all the ponies.

Lightning Flicker smiled. "Something fighting related too hard for me? Not likely." She grinned. "People say I'm one of the best fighters they've ever met!" Lighting Flicker turned towards Pinkie Pie. "I haven't seen Twilight either."

Hank glances at misty "do you have a place to stay cause you can stay at my place" he looks at lightning flicker "well you might be better than me who knows" he grinned as he got another slice of cake

Bumble Berry dug her face into the cake. The satisfaction of the tasty cake was amazing, and as she finished, she let out a big sigh of relief. That was probably the best meal she had ever had, but in these times, that was what she thought every time. She took a few more slices and gobbled them up twice as fast. Well, I think I'm ready to go, but I'll need to come back in a few days time if I'm not to starve."

Lightning Flicker grinned at Hank. "Well, guess we'll find out, won't we?" Lightning Flicker had always loved a good competition. Usually it was flying races, but she couldn't do that at this point in time, which frustrated her.

"I live in a cheap shack in the poor quarter. It's not too bad, 'cept it's freezing outside. You know..." Misty responded a bit dejectedly after swallowing. "But I'm fine, I guess. Why do you offer?" She tilted her head at Hank.

Hank smiles "i love to help people and i just offered these two to stay in my place and they accepted, so im wondering if you would rather stay in my place than a shack. My place is right across the street also."

He looks at lighting flicker "maybe" he smiles and looks at bumble berry "ok well once everyone is ready we can go to my place."

Lightning Flicker swallowed the last bite of her cake and stretched. She was ready to go when everypony else was. She just wished she could thaw her wings out and fly. She really missed flying. But she couldn't help that.

Hank smiles "so are we all ready to go?" He looks at the three ponies as he finishes his slice. He took a glance at misty and looks at bumble berry "ill carry your stuff to my house"

"Alright, I accept your offer." Misty said, happy to go somewhere that might be warmer. She tightened her scarf and ready herself for the biting cold. Today could be rather fruitful after all.

Lightning Flicker nodded. "I'm ready when everypony else is." She still wished she could fly. But the winter would probably be over soon and she'd be able to fly all she wanted. Maybe she'd finally get to race Rainbow Dash!

"Nah, I'm fine. I'm strong enough, I'll just take it along myself, I wouldn't want to cause you any trouble." She picked up her mattress and blankets and stood, ready to go. "Let's go, if you're ready."

[Shift 4,272]

Fluttershy rushed outside, a bit panicked, but otherwise normal. She was supposed to go to Sugarcube Corner to meet Pinkie today, and she was late! Thank Celestia Angel reminded her...

She rushed inside Sugarcube Corner, and blushed. She was a little shy, because a lot of ponies were there. She started to back away, slowly.

Hank glanced at Fluttershy and walks up to her "hello im hank" he gave a big smile knowing she is shy by how she is acting. he looks at all the other ponies waiting for Fluttershy's response as he took a glance outside.

[Shift 4,272]

A pony walked up to Fluttershy. Her eyes grew wide as the pony talked.

"Hello, i'm Hank." the pony said. Fluttershy was close to tears now.

"Uh hum.. i'm fluttershy" Fluttershy told the pony, wincing. She attempted to hide her face behind her long and thick mane. She thought the pony was nice, but the pressure was just too overwhelming!

Hank noticed that she is about to cry "what is your name?" he couldnt hear her the first time. "i can tell you are shy." he gave a warming smile "i am a rally nice pony so dont be afraid." he watches her. he sighs "well i am going to take the other ponies to my house so hopefully we can talk sometime." he looks at Lightning Flicker, Misty, and Bumble Berry "ok lets get going." he walks outside and heads to his house

"Hello, the name's Misty Leaves. It's pleasure to meet you." Misty said nodding as she followed Hank out to his house. Hank? A very strange name for a pony. But, he seemed nice. So whatever his name was, he offered a place to sleep, and sleeping anywhere warmer than her shack was preferable. She looked behind her towards the others. A peculiar bunch to say the least.

Hank waits for the two ponies to follow along as he enters his house making sure misty goes in first and waits for the two ponies to enter his house. "so when do you think this will be ending?"

Lightning Flicker headed in. "I don't know, but I hope soon. I was in the middle of something when I got stuck down here on the ground and the waiting is, figuratively of course, killing me!" Lightning Flicker smiled.
